Considering the prologue was 54 chapters long...It's going to go on for a while. Since there was a real life "Vinland Saga" it's probably going
to end like that did and the manga hints towards that happening. It's gonna be pretty epic. Also if Canute follows his real life counterpart
he's going to be serious business. Well he already is but he's going to be MAJOR serious business.
I'm hoping it all follows the real life story as close as possible. Of course there will be some artistic liberties but that's fine.
Actually this might be pretty easy to guess. It's called Vinland Saga. In the beginning Leif was talking about a trip of his to the Vinland. Of what I understand it's about the North America. So I imagine that there will be a number of chapters here in Europe and then the manga will end with either Thorfinn and some friends leaving for Vinland. And -- it is little chance -- the action will continue in North America, with American Indians as opponents.
It'll last at the very least a good five more years (provided popularity remains intact of course) in my opinion. I think it'll follow history to a certain point and take liberties telling Canute and Thorfinn's stories, probably having them come into contact (fangasm!!!!) with each other.
Personally I can kinda see the last scene of the manga being as they reach the shores of "Vinland", not showing them actually exploring. For some reason I feel like that would just be an epic ending...
The ending should be what actually happened.
WARNING MAJOR POTENTIAL SPOILERS
a very long fuckign time.
i lvoe this manga. it mixes a sense of realism, yet not a total one sided, evil win type of thing. no one is really good, nor totally evil.
