The end of the war?

Here are some questions that would we nice to discuss (especially that we have a break next week).
What do you think will happen?

Note: The poll is a mutliple vote so you can answer more than one question.

Question1 : Is this war coming to an end?

With the two big bosses (Madara and Tobi), fighting their enemies.
It looks like the end of the war might be near.

Especially that Zetsu has already been defeated and that Itachi is currently moving towards Kabuto.

Question2 : Will the Kages defeat Madara?

The way I see it, this fight is the embodiment of the alliance, so they CANNOT lose.
Especially after the speech they gave last time.

Also, this Madara is only a Edo Tensei, so I doubt he would ever be a main protagonist.

I think, at best, what we might see is the Kages winning and Kabuto recalling Madara back to prevent him from being sealed.
Or, he might have some trouble with Itachi and decide to call his trump card to defend him...


Question3 : Will Naruto and Killerbee defeat Tobi?

Naruto always wanted to be acknowledged by everyone, and for him to be the "savior" he needed to be acknowledged by all the 5 Kages.
It finally happened last week when they gave him the responsibility of dealing with Tobi.

Therefore, IMO, he CANNOT lose this fight.

Although, I still get the feeling that Naruto doesn't have what it take to go against Tobi.
Remember that Tobi only needs to touch him once and Naruto is warped...
He doesn't have a S/T Jutsu like his father to get out of this...

He's the main enemy, he's the reason why Minato sealed the Kyuubi inside Naruto.
So, Naruto should have master "that jutsu", and he would need to be almost at his peak to beat him.

So, even though he was entrusted this fight by the 5 Kages, I think he might still lose...
And we can't forget that Killerbee must be captured if we want Naruto to be the "last Jinchuriki".

Question 4: Will Itachi defeat Kabuto

Itachi is going after Kabuto.
So, without thinking right now, it seems like Itachi is in a totally other league and that he would destroy Kabuto.

The only thing that can save Kabuto is his other Edo Tensei (he might recalled some of them to defend him, including Madara), and his other mysterious jutsu that he mentioned before.

IMO, Itachi will defeat Kabuto and will release all the Edo Tensei (therefore, killing himself, but possibly saving the Kages from Madara and/or the Jinchuriki from Tobi's 6 paths).


Question 5: Will Sasuke enter the war?

Where is Sasuke?
We have no clue who he's going against.

All we know is that he said last time that he would go after Naruto first...

Is he looking for him right now?
Will he enter the war?

Honestly, I think that he will not.
I think that the alliance might ultimately win this war, and that Sasuke might be the only remnant of the chain of hatred...

So, there will be one last arc with Sasuke as the main enemy after the war is done.

It has to, there aren't many enemies left...even if it takes 100 chapters, it's coming to an end 'soon' in Narutoverse.

I'm hoping Itachi will make some difference here...he will stop Edo Tensei, thus ending the fight, but I think we will lose a Kage, maybe 2...

Question3 : Will Naruto and Killerbee defeat Tobi?

This one is complicated...they should win, but how? Will the Kyuubi offer Naruto help again, enabling Naruto to develop some kind of Jutsu...or will Naruto misteriously put out a Bijuu-dama? I don't know, but he has to win

Question 4: Will Itachi defeat Kabuto

Don't matter what Jutsu Kabuto's got, or what trump card he calls back...Itachi said he would break Edo Tensei, he WILL break Edo Tensei (This will affect the Kages and Naruto's/Bee's battle)

Question 5: Will Sasuke enter the war?

I still stick to the idea that he has to redeem himself before the end...so I'm guessing he will defeat Tobi together with Naruto, after a really messed up changer of heart event :P

I could only select one option, cause in other cases i think things are little more complicated. First of all, i expect itachi to cancel out ET, but i think kabuto will survive the encounter. I want Madara to be on the verge of killing kages, but he'll vanish as Itachi would manage to cancel ET just in time. I hope that B will be captured and 8t will be taken away, but naruto'll win the fight. i don't think sasuke'll exactly take part in this war, but i think he/kabuto might capture the gedo mezo and vanish. Then there will be a sasuke vs kabuto, i'm not sure if this fight should be counted in war or after war. Also i'm not yet convinced that Black Zetsu is done for.

Question 1:

Yeah, it has to. The final enemies are all engaging in battles. If defeated, the threat is removed.

Question 2:

I really doubt it. So far, Madara has shown his power to be in match with theirs only in testing them. EMS and Rinnegan, I'm not a fan of Madara, but those Kages will have to give their all, win or lose.

Question 3:

The toughest one and difficult to predict. I imagine that Naruto would reach full cooperation with Kyuubi during this fight which would enable him to beat him. Of course, for that, I think that Tobi would have to have the ability to manipulate the Kyuubi like Madara did (which I suspect is the case). Bee is certainly a bonus here and that gives Naruto quite the advantage. Tobi has other Jins beside him so it really will be a tough battle.

Question 4:

Yep. He most certainly will. We all know what kind of shinobi Itachi is. He repeated multiple times that he found a way to end ET. He is too good a strategist, among other things, to lose against an obnoxious idiot like Kabuto.

Question 5:

No, I don't think so. He's his own bitch now, I think. Madara, Tobi, Konoha.. They are all meaningless to him and that makes them his enemy. If he's smart, he'll wait for the two side to wound each other and then he'll move to deliver the final blow to last standing side. (of course, Naruto is too powerful to be the victim of such an old strategy)

Itachi... the Kages... Naruto... they all gave some speech, promise or lecture before going into their fights. So if we assume they can't fail because it would contradict their speech, promise, lecture or whatever then this whole war will end up being even more retarded then the Bleach war.

One of them simply has to fail, because if the villains suffer utter defeat at all three lines it would simply be completely anticlimactic.

Imho the one who's most likely to fail is Itachi. Kabuto still has another trumpcard and his performance in this war wasn't very impressive, so I think this will be his moment to shine as a villain. Kabuto is currently also the most central figure... if he goes down then Madara goes down and Tobi's six pathes of pain go down as well.

On the other hand it could also be the other way arround: The Kages, Naruto and Bee could be on the verge of being defeated when Itachi beats Kabuto and thus completely turns the tables on the other two battlegrounds as well.

No, all the foreshadowing for the Jyuubi resurrection and Tobi's Moon's Eye plan have yet to be initiated. Either Tobi or Madara will initiate these plans, so one of them will survive the upcoming battles. I don't think it will be over in these next two battles. Even if Edo Tensei was plan B for ressurecting Madara, Tobi had a plan A to bring Madara back to life. That process may still be valid even if Edo Madara is defeated, released, reverse summoned or sealed in these first rounds of fights. There are some series where the evil mastermind's plan never gets started. I don't think that will be tbe case with Naruto. If Naruto is to get his face on that mountainside he needs to accomplish something that saves the world. Beating Tobi falls short of this achievement.

Unlikely. Facing the demon of Uchiha won't be settled by the Kages. He might get summoned back by Kabuto or released by Itachi compelling Kabuto to unseal him via a genjutsu, but he won't be that easily removed by the kages. It will be a swell fight but rather anti-climatic if the final villian gets removed off-screen and not by the main protagonist. At this point Madara is a greater threat than Tobi, and I think he will be there at the final battle.

Question3 : Will Naruto and Killerbee defeat Tobi?

No, because of reasons stated above. Defeating Tobi stops everything. stops the war, stops the Jyuubi ressurection and stops the Moon's Eye plan before it even starts. The only thing left to do then is to beat the crap out of Sasuke. Boring! There is still one last mystery that still has to be resolved, the demise of the Uchiha clan and Tobi's (or Madara's) involvement with that. There are only two people who can tell us this story, Itachi and Tobi. The person who needs to hear this the most is Sasuke. He's either going to hear it from Itachi at the battleground of Itachi and Kabuto, or at the battleground on Tobi and Naruto. I'm betting on the latter.

Tobi needs the bijuus for the final battleground to be set, so that means he has to win the battles between Bee and Naruto.

Either directly or Indirectly. I think Itachi is a better fighter than Kabuto but if Kabuto reverse summons Madara then Kabuto could easily win. Of course, Itachi may be able to force Kabuto to release edo Tensei either willingly (Itachi is about to kill him and Kabuto releases it to destroy Itachi) or unwillingly, Itachi places a genjutsu on Kabuto compelling him to break Edo tensei. either way Edo Tensei will be broken at some point the only question is how.

Question 5: Will Sasuke enter the war?

Hardly. Sasuke is there to fight Naruto. The only fights he may stumble across are Tobi/Naruto or Itachi/Kabuto. If he goes to Itachi/Kabuto first he might finally listen to reason from his brother Itachi and realize what a moron's he been. When he sees Naruto again he may try to help him instead of killing him, but the jury is still out on that one.

The only issue that I have is that those 2 battles are very symbolic.

Well, you can lose the battle(s) and still win the war. There is going to be a fourth battle (maybe fifth battle if Sasuke gets involved) to win it all. Technically, you only need to win the last one. Sure, Naruto and the kages lose face if they don't defeat their opponents. The consequence if they win, however, is that we don't learn about the night of the Uchiha clan's demise, and we don't see the Jyuubi or the Moon Eye plan. I would rather have the kages/Naruto lose face and have the conditions set for an epic final battle than having the series end on Naruto beating the crap out of Sasuke since by default he's the only thing left. That would be a waste.

Besides, we need the kages to lose. We need them out of the picture so Naruto can save the day. Having Naruto hopping around with Gaara and Tsunade when opposing the final villian would be lacking in my book. Some may want a final showdown where all the kages are in play, I for one, do not. But tastes vary.

yes it will probably come to an end but the fights will take quite a few chapters and naruto vs sasuke will probably be after tobi/madara is stopped.

yes and no probably it will be a close call but et will becancelled by kabuto himself or forced.
Kage's will probably not defeat madara by sealing him.

Probably not, most likely Bee will be captured to save Naruto and the jinchuuriki killed and Tobi escapes with the hachibi.
and with naruto's speed it will be hard to suck him in caus being close naruto will keep attacking so he has to stay intangeble so he can't suck naruto in.

and I think THAT jutsu was controlling the Kyuubi so he already mastered THAT jutsu.

probably somehow forcing him to withdraw and cancel ET but not killing Kabuto I think. That would be to easy, but knowing the awesomeness of Itachi he WILL force kabuto to withdraw

I think sasuke will help naruto stop tobi.madara caus he wont be a lapdog, remember what he did to oro.
Probably helping naruto defeat them and then demand a duel with naruto where they will both die.
Like naruto predicted, and this might be a new arc with a lot of questions answered.

I can see Madara overwhelming the five kages and to be barely saved by Itachi cancelling the Edo Tensei which would make Itachi sacrificing himself a big and important sacrifice. It wouldn't be an important sacrifice if the Kages were already beating Madara.

Add to that it would make the prospect of Madara getting revived a great threat to the ninja world since even the 5 kages couldn't face him and barely survived by Itachi's help. That gives Naruto and hopefully Sasuke the most dangerous enemy where their team work would be crucial to even stand a chance!

Yeah, I was thinking amongst the same line.
Technically, Itachi winning over Kabuto might save the Kages, and it might save Naruto and Killerbee too if the 6 Jinchuriki are Edo Tensei too.

Although I want Itachi to make a difference in this war, I think that it would look be very bad for the alliance if after all those strong talks about needing to win their fights, they lose them...

mmm I thought it would last at least 10 volumes,and actually I don't think that in a year it will be ended. the kages will defeat madara,but I don't think naruto will defeat tobi,although he has to do that,I'd prefer to see tobi and madara meeting each other again. itachi has to go towards kabuto but there is a left zombie that will be the key of that meeting,that is chukichi. and finally,sasuke will enjoy the manga after the war

Question1 : Is this war coming to an end?
It will, but not just yet. It all depends on what happens on these three battlefronts: Uchiha Madara vs. the Five Kages, Tobi vs. Naruto and B, and quite possibly Uchicha Itachi vs. Yakushi Kabuto. For the war to end the Kages, Naruto and Itachi must win their respective battles, but I doubt they all are going to win their fights. And lastly, there is Sasuke, but Sasuke vs. the Ninja Alliance can hardly be a continuation of the war.

Question2 : Will the Kages defeat Madara?
I think not. Uchiha Madara will prevail on the Kages... because they have to go if Naruto is to become the revolutionary of the ninja world he`s been prophesized to be. Maybe due to his youth, Gaara could survive the battle, and later assist Naruto in the formation of the new ninja world.

Question3 : Will Naruto and Killerbee defeat Tobi?
Yes, he has to, this is the fight to prove Naruto`s worth as a ninja in front of the entire ninja world. But I don`t know if B will make it.

Question 4: Will Itachi defeat Kabuto?
He might. But I doubt Madara will be cancelled or something. The Moon`s Eye Plan is his plan, Tobi`s goals are originally his goals. So when Naruto defeats Tobi, Madara will carry on with the plan because he is much more to the plot than just another Edo Tensei summon. I don`t know the nature of Tobi/Madara relation, but all Tobi has done for decades was envisioned by Uchiha Madara before his death.

Question 5: Will Sasuke enter the war?
Sasuke cares not for this war or Akatsuki`s plans. He just wants to destroy Konoha and kill Naruto beforehand. I don`t quite see a role for Sasuke in this war, unless entering is necessary to carry out his goals, not Akatsuki`s goals. He might be saved for last.
