Um, Rika was born with the Virgin Blade inside of her, right? I know Dr. Minami referred to it as "Gazelle's Virgin Blade," but that could just be because she was the first one to have had it. I don't think it means that she actually has Gazelle inside of her. The only one we know of who has Gazelle inside of him is Akito/Agito. And that's Lind, who I think would be better off being called Gazelle's male reincarnation.

rika wasn't 'born' with the virgin blade... she was the back-up copy of gazelle. in the gazelle flashback, sora mentions how there was a 'back-up' and later minami mentions how sora figured out the 'virgin blade' was in rika. then when rika meets sora before fighting sf, she talks about how she wanted to kill sora but for some reason can't do it... you have to connect the dots... only gazelle wants to kill sora between rika and gazelle.

also, about the rules on number of team members... the only 'rule' in regards to having a certain number of team members was that a new team having a minimum of 5 people... obviously that isn't the case as we have teams like sleipnir, jiggy and lionheart who are lacking the minimum. there are a few other teams that look like they are less than 5 too within the gst. as to how many can fight in a team match, is acceptable to only put out 1 player even (like how agito often fought team battles solo)

Maybe I misunderstood but I saw [Run] word before end of the chapter. Isn't it that Ikki challenge Sora to fight in GST rule? To 'Run' down from the top of the tower to the ground.

well the 'run' part was in english... hmm, we do see rika right behind ikki and ringo, so it might be the case. though here's a great and wonderful idea for ikki: when he gets to the bottom, he should destroy the tower at the base. he's got an uber regalia that easily blew past the defenses of the tower, so aside from huge collateral damage from a falling tower, what is there really to stop ikki from doing that? i would assume that the tower functions as the 'transmitter' of controlling all the a-t technology so if that is gone, then really it's just the regalia left.

if ikki is going along with this (since it looks like sora suggested the 'run' option), i have a feeling that ikki is going to work on removing that device on rika's neck during this. that would at least take away the last 'pawn' of sora.

Oh I see. I really can't understand chinese so I really don't have a clue of what they're talking about. Haha. So that explains why Ikki and Ringo went down the tower (atleast it looks like it). I was surprised, like, oi why did they went down the tower!? Aargh, just when I thought we would see the two Kings and Queens fight, they delayed it. Anyway, who suggested that the GST be continued?

If it would be that way, what would happen to Ringo? Sleeping Forest already lost the battle against Genesis. SF and Kogarasumaru merging? Hmm...

Anyway, I also can't find a reason why GST would continue. Man! There would be no team that will seriously think to go against these two teams. I mean, if you have a team, and you're the leader of that team, would you seriously consider challenging even one of these two teams? Kazu alone would burn them all.

I doubt it. I think it would be a 2 on 2 fight between the two Kings and Queens.

Just call them "Kings". It's easier that way. Notice that the manga also does the same, even in the English translation; they only differentiate between the genders in the English translation when they're talking about a single female "King". Like, say, "Pledge Queen".

About Kazu, Drylick, he doesn't have his Regalia core (and neither does Agito). How is Kazu going to burn anyone without a complete pair of ATs, seeing as how the core of a Regalia is the ATs' back wheels? He needs to get a new Flame Regalia core first.

Looks like it's a simple 'run' competition without Regalias, 2 v 2. Don't know where all this talk of continuing the GST was about, Ikki just told everyone to drop out, haha.

checked and double checked, no where in the original japanese script did minami say that rika was 'born' with the virgin blade. he only said that rika 'possessed' the virgin blade to confirm sora's suspicions. sora specifically said "she's likely the back-up". if she was 'born' with it, she wouldn't have needed the brain charger to be awoken, to control her that thing on her neck would have sufficed. the twinkle eye of the brain charger is the sign of the brain charger process not the 'virgin blade'.

The Virgin Blade is the Heart's Wing, isn't it? The main component that makes a Brain Charger, a Brain Charger? The fact that Rika has it means that she's a Brain Charger. It's not just because of the "Over Cross' Twinkle Eye," and it's also not because of the device on her neck. That device is only controlling her, probably.

Ikki didn't just tell them to drop out; he also said that he'll destroy the Storm Regalia and scatter its pieces into space if no one challenges him with it at stake. He said they should drop out if they're too scared to fight him, but that if no one challenges him the Storm Regalia will be destroyed. So, yeah, really, the GST actually is going to continue since Ikki said he'll bet the Storm Regalia.

I am not sure, if I understand the continuation of the GST correctly, but my interpretation was Ikki did in fact tell them to drop out now and if they do not he will accept it as a challenge later. Lionheart (I think that is their name) even said they are fine with it; it is out of their rank.

As for Ikki, destroying the Strom Regalia I think that was directed at Sora only and not the other teams. He was challenging Sora to a "Battle of Components" and if Sora did not accept then Ikki would destroy the Storm Regalia (what better way to get Sora to agree). And if you look at the rules they came up with it seems to only include the four of them. Well that is how I am interpreting it. Thanks

By the way, I don't know if it's because the kanji for the name "Kaname" and the name "Kururu" are the same, but in this translation of the chapter, her name was read as "Kaname". I really am wondering about this. Better translation is needed.

What if that device is doing something to her on a cellular level or something that's bad for her and she doesn't realize it?

Anything is possible, but I think OG was looking for an easy way to break Rika out of her mind control and this is it. It's less cheesy then her finally waking up because Ikki or Ringo pleaded with her.
