Wow, super cool chapter! I loved how Oga died at the mention of Sudoku. I really cracked up when I read that. xD And then his back-up....in the form of Toujou. xD Only in Beelzebub would the protagonist falter and need back-up after having to face a well-known Japanese puzzle.

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed Furuichi didn't do or say much, but then I realized: That's what he meant last chapter when he said, "I've sent back-up!" Furuichi, you really have become a general, T_T Nice to see the Red Tails and Miki show up!

So Agiel really is following the code of a Blood Knight, promising to fight Aoi after they defeat the pillars and fodder in front of them. I like how we saw the set-up of their team-up, but not the whole fight. In fact, one thing I really love about Beelzebub is the brisk pacing, without giving in to make-shift solutions or plotholes.

I don't know why people are so concerned about the fights in Beelzebub.
Are there people like me who think fights arent the manga priority genre? In my opinion, the battle parts in this series are just another background to increase the comedy, plus a way to get the readers who are so addicted to battle-shonen.

I laughed so hard when the Pillar lost the game and get his punishment. Seriously, the guy crapped himself?!

Great chapter, but can not wait to see the red tails freak out not knowing how to bowl, since that is there challenge. I predict that either it will be Aoi battle half chapter and the other half is one of the challenges, or each challenge or game will take more than one chapter for that event. I wonder how much memory Heldi will loose when Oga get to her?

Do you really believe that in Hell anyone will get the rank pillar or pillarhead or its only the royal troops from Lord`En. I think there many different family´s and groups with different names, try to get on Top in the Demon and Human world.
Yeah u right but along time befor, there was the important Information for this series. First it´s a Gag-Manga also the Animegenre is Comedie at first. A t second after black Tech training, Oga says something like. "Lord´En don´t know why Beel get attack and the Story behind that. That means a bigger Plot we gonna introduce at the end of the Arc, I Hope. At Second to rule over all, he must be able to beat anyone without any problem and that lvl Oga never reach yet. That for the shounenaction part.
Like u say, the Demonworld part is still open.

I like this Chapter, special the Oga/Toujou duo alias Archimedes von Syrakus and Pythagoras von Samos. XD *rofl* Also the introducing from everyone looks good. I wonder which games the will get, after Sudoku. XD I really was thinking wtf, is this a joke. But this joke was build up, when the first Pillar get down.

Btw I think some people are saying that pillar heads are weak and there should be a rank or few higher to make the series more interesting. Having the same rank does not mean they have the equal strength. If you have like 300 members, you can make a lot of different divisions, but their strength will not be the same. You can use Bleach as an example, there are 13 divisions. Though the strengths are different, Division 1 is the strongest with Division 5, with Aizen, the second and continueing from there. There could be 30 divisions and most of them could be from En's personal whim or the pillar's head personal connections/family connections. Brothers could be in different divisions, but one could be stronger than the other.
I don't expect the leader of the group would be weaker than one of the common gruts or one of the pillar heads. He is the leader and has pride in his strength. He is also well known, so I expect him to be the STRONGEST or the SECOND STRONGEST, not one of the weaker pillar heads. Pillar heads could just mean a position that some happens to obtain, they could have overthrow the previous head will numbers and obtained that position.
This means the pillar heads can FLUCTUATE constantly.

When I got to the part of the chapter with the Sudoku puzzle I paused my reading, copied the puzzle out on some paper, and tried to see how quickly I could solve it. After several attempts, I went online and typed in the tiles we were given. I don't think this is a valid puzzle.

That was so unexpected to get Agiel to swap sides but quite a good twist to le plot
I used to play sudoku, it's fun but irritating when you get something wrong then have to start over again and a great way to get the rest of the team there now it seems quite reasonable for the humans to win...i still believe Jabberwock and Laymia will give problems though

As fas as I understand, Behements squad is just one part of the Kingdoms army. I guess there has to be other squads as well. Just like a country has several agencies and military organs fulfilling various purposes. But I do understand where you coming from. I read Beel for the fun part, the fighting is just there to keep me attached to the manga. Its a great read and doing much better than some other manga right now.

I don't feel like we have a good feel for just how powerful (or not) the pillar heads are. Would have been nice if a non-overpowered character faced off with them first. It seems like there are basically two classes of enemies: those who don't get more than a panel before their heads are slammed through a wall, and those that are unbeatable (we haven't seen much of the latter lately). I'd just like a better way to gauge Oga's power. In any case, it's been a fun battle so far.

Just because the main characters aren't being humiliated doesn't mean the manga is getting boring. You don't have to downgrade important character for the manga to be done well.

I agree. So far, I've had no problems with the power levels.

And I just realized something...who says that Basilisk was one of the strongest of pillar heads? I remember in chapter 123, Agiel and Bassilisk are arguing with one another, and she retorts that "her squad doesn't consider him a man, anyway". A couple of chapters later, Oga struggles with the all-female squad, but pretty much curb-stomps Basilisk. Even that is consistent. :V
