I was wondering if anyone here has ever read "Tsure ga Utsu ni Narimashite" by Tenten Hosokawa. It seems like an interesting manga and one that talks about combating depression, which is slowly getting more attention in Japan.

I actually wrote about the article at: http://www.mangatherapy.com/post/142...pression-manga
It's very nice to see Hosokawa become successful with the series and spark more people to be aware of depression.
I'd think if you're gonna be dealing with depression you'd use a less gag-manga-y style. That seems like a more serious subject, but I suppose it might be possible to do this way, too. I prefer the Kokou no Hito school of psychological drama.
I think she wanted to make it gag-ish, because she's wants to let everyone know that depression isn't the end of the world.
