    Best Action

Welcome to the nomination phase of
    Best Action

This thread if for this specific nomination only, for discussion regarding other categories and general discussion about the Awards, please visit the MH Manga Awards 2011 Discussion Thread.

Nomination InfoPlease remember, that you may nominate only one title for this award. However during the nomination phase, you can always change your nomination. For more information about how the Awards work, please check the opening post of the thread linked above.

"Please note that for categories that were included last year, the winner of last year's award for that specific category can't be nominated this year..

For the nomination phase to run smoothly and to avoid situations where nominations weren't counted by accident, please state your nomination clearly. It is preferable to highlight the nominated title with bolded text and color. Example: I nominate <insert title> for <insert category>

Also please explain briefly the reason for your nomination.

Enjoy the Awards and thanks for understanding!

The Winner of Best Action Manga is (drum rolls).... One Piece!

    Re: Best Action

I nominate Gantz for Best Action. This manga, as gore as it is, is the most action packed manga I read. Almost all chapters are full of actions with almost no discussion. And the mangaka needs to be talented in order to make it work.

    Re: Best Action

I'd like to nominate Confidential Assassination Troop for Best Action.

While there is still enough room for the story, clashes are numerous and unburdened with filling processes. Action at its purest imo.

I nominate One Piece for Best Action.

The emotional content that companies the insane fights is way too good.

"Upon the back of his body not a wound of retreat scars it."
One Piece is a series created by a genius, it's a masterpiece, it's like a fine wine, it only gets better with time.

    Re: Best Action

As the most intense, suspseful action around I nominate Shingeki no Kyojin. It is the one manga where I genuinely fear for the life of the characters. It is also one of the only action manga where the stress and anxiety of the characters is apparent, that even the calmest know how dire the situation is.

    Re: Best Action

I nominate Eden:It's An Endless World! for best action.

The action here isn't just your average "guns a blazin'". There are so many elements and factors to it's action. You'll have a tense hacker stand off, a sniper battle, epic knife fights with cybernetic mutants, and strategic bomb placement/land mine dodging.....all in the same scene. It's very intense.

    Re: Best Action

Awww I hate to say this, but my faves mangas are not as action based as Gantz.

My nomination goes to that marvelous piece of deformed monsters.
    The Sky is pouring
    The wind is blowing
    The sea looks red,
    a surging sea of flames
looks like the entrance to hell
    'Perfect', the captain said.

    Re: Best Action

I Nominate CLAYMORE for Best (Manga) Action

(See the Claymore section-forum for more details, hehe)

Wow, does Claymore have some awesome action right now (and in between, ever since the Pieta Battle)!

A battle royal with the Clarice Era of Claymores, Miria, the 3 Revived-Resurrected rank 1 Claymores who have all 3 now Awakened, and now the arrival of the other HAs (except Clare), and the other Claymores of Clarice's Era.

Awakened Cassandra's Awakened form and her losing of her shyness, and pwning everyone, including Awakened Roxanne, is awesome!

~"You taste like shit, because you eat shit, Roxanne"
~"You are only rank 2, so you are shit, and so you should eat shit, Roxanne"

(If you like-know Gantz, this should be seem very familar to you, especially Awakened Cassandra's form, hehe)

(Claymore has recently become much like Gantz, lol)
"The internet’s perfect for all manner of things, but productive discussion ain’t one of them. It provides scant room for debate and infinite opportunities for fruitless point-scoring: the heady combination of perceived anonymity, gestated responses, random heckling and a notional “live audience” quickly conspire to create a “perfect storm” of perpetual bickering." - Charlie Brooker

"I hold the wolf by the ears, I am in a dangerous situation and dare not let go" -an old saying in Latin
