Blade of the Immortal
Gon is famous for being a manga without speech and bubble
I vote Air Gear
Bleach - I consider it as a picture book without plot, because this manga offers nothing but the art. A art which I think deserves credit. Though I stopped reading since the Aizen fight, I believe Tite Kubo deserves credit for his style.
How beserk didn't blow this section of the competition is byond me, Shonen has great artwork don't get me wrong but the awe that I get from Berserk is completely unmatched by anything Shonen, but to each their own...yay for bleach's victory
Those Bankai's.... Going for Bleach.
I would be interested about mangas with the same kind of artwork as in Battle of the immortal.
Beh,Bleach. The best thing about it is the art,but it's not that amazing either. It's very stylish and Kubo delivered some great designs. However, that's it.Bleach looks cool.Nothing more, nothing less.It lacks a certain substance and isn't really captivating.
Gon was quite amazing.I've never read a manga that spoke only through pictures and did not use a single speech bubble. The art is extremely detailed and gorgeous, but I guess it lacks a certain touch. Can't really put my finger on it.
Berserk is very detailed and epic.I haven't read enough of it in order to form a justifiable opinion, though.
One Piece is a no as well. While I love the art for its energy, variety and the freedom you feel,it does have its problems like too crowded panels and a huge amount of speech bubbles, which disturb the balance.I was never a hater of Oda's art like many other people, but when I compare it to the rest, voting for it would not be fair.
Ultimately,I'll go with Blade of the Immortal.God,how amazing the art is.When people speak, they do so with their whole body. Not only are faces shown, but also hands and feet, which give the characters' words an immense gravity. The figths are yet another spectacle.Samura knows how to portray believable action with bodies where you actually feel that they're heavy and vivid bodies.I don't have enough words to describe the brilliant art. It's not like you can put it into words anyway.Just go and read it yourself.
I nominate Air Gear
