So isn't character development and Soul Society's change after thousands of years, which was the reason for Bleach's plot, as well as an internal plot not enough to make this arc, well, and arc?

That's the only worthy thing about it. But that's it. Being absolutely honest, I didn't enjoy the first half plus some months of this arc. I just didn't enjoy it, and the thing that would justify it would be some ties to the next arc. I have a slight hope that in a few chapters, Isshin will came, sit in front of Ichigo and tell him how he once met Ginjou, and ....... Or something, something that will not make it a bad filler (fillers have cool action usually) + character development. But untill I get that, it was a year which wasn't as good as it could be.

surely it will,kubo must do that,otherwise its manga will lost too much. the destiny of bleach may be decided in what kubo will do with this arc

The worst thing is, I was so sure that this and the next arc will be connected. I was so sure. So now, I don't believe. I'll love Kubo if he manages to make it somehow, and I'll love Bleach again when the new arc kicks in and is good -> this arc won't make me like the next one less if it's good, I'll just stop thinking about fullbring arc.
But right now, it feels like a complete waste.

I want to believe. But I won't be putting my hopes high again, only to be mad later. I'm such a good fan that I'll just forget about this arc (only remembering the sweet moments).

I still hope that the next chapter(s) will connect the LSS arc to the next arc. It's Kubo's style, he connects the arcs, he doesn't leave them hanging. Why would he give hints like "Ginjou knew about Isshin's secret" if Ginjou was a filler villain?

Ichigo lost his powers after the arrancar arc, it was perfectly normal that he wouldn't be interested in talking with his father about shinigami stuff but now he's back and Isshin feels obliged to tell him what's going on. I think we'll get new information in following chapters, I was expecting Ginjou to tell Ichigo but it seems the information will come from Isshin.

btw what does 'je rêve en couleur' mean? XD

I don't know French but I guess it's something like "I'm being optimistic."

The shinigami changing their ways for the first time in thousands of years is what ties this arc to the others. Had the shinigami changed before, the hollows wouldn't have such a big problem with the shinigami, Ishida wouldn't hate shinigami, Aizen and Tousen wouldn't betray them and the Vizards would still be captains and vice captains. I don't know why do you all want something unrelated to the arc shoehorned at the end where a character reveals something out of nowhere that happens to be the only link between that arc and the plot.

That was the important, you must also consider the character development, which it alone makes the arc relevant.

I agree with Newbie....IMO this arc served 4 purposes
1. Explaining Chad's powers fully and elaborating on why he said they were closer to a hollow than a shinigami
2. Giving Ichigo back his powers as well as showing him doing some more training ( Remember Ichigo doesnt really train, he gains his power from battle experience )
3. Showing us how Ichigo altered the status quo of SS's inflexible policies...He's basically a revolutionary lol
4. Giving us a glimpse of SS's dark side...They were some pretty cold SOB before Ichigo came along

All in all this arc was arguably the worst in the manga but it still wasnt horrible...It was average but served a few plot purposes and developed a few characters. Number 3 on my list IMO is the most important thing that has happened in Bleach thus far....If i had to sum up Bleach in a few words, it would be about how Ichigo, a human changed the entire culture of SS with his adamant, unwavering resolve and since that happened in this arc it deserves recognition as an integral part of the story...Looking forward to what is in store next

I think most people agree that the arc was certainly useful in the sense that Ichigo got his powers back and the concept of fullbring was fully explained. But IMHO what people eventually expect from a Bleach arc is a twist, a revelation which creates the prospect of interesting plot development, something which will make fans look forward to new chapters with enthusiasm.

Do you remember SS arc? It was a good arc even before Aizen's betrayal but the final twist opened a can of possibilities which made fans wanting more. The prospect of Aizen, Gin, Tousen and hollows vs SS made people excited. At the moment people seek similar excitement, like when people thought that Ukitake was a traitor. Isshin's past is important in the sense that it will possibly bring new possibilities with it, it will give something to people to discuss.

The things that it showed us were all good... only if I enjoyed the arc alltogether. The fact that I didn't come to love the new characters and that I weren't excited while reading a chapter for good six months is the problem. I know that the main purpose: giving Ichi his powers back was fullfiled, and that the whole stuff about the change of SS and Yamamoto was there. But right now, when I'm thinking about the whole arc and the conclusion, I remember how many times I was disappointed between the start of the arc and the time when fullbringers turned on him (and even after the return of shinigami, it's not as good as it could be). Some epic relevations would have saved it for me, made me think 'Oh yeah, that's why I've endured it all... I get it all now, it makes sense'... Maybe it'll come in next chapter, who knows >.<
Anyway I won't be upset for too long as I always forgive everything that has happened once it's awesome again.

The twist doesn't have to be irrelevant, actually I think if Isshin tells us his story, it will involve Ginjou, the man whom the last arc was named after. I think introducing Ginjou before revealing Isshin's past was kinda essential, which will make LSS arc even more meaningful.

Tsukishima is DEFINITELY dead. Ginjo said he was dying and had a few minutes left probably. He also said that when a Fullbringer dies all traces of their ability disappears. Orihime doesn't remember Tsukishima at all. Hence all traces of his ability being gone. Riruka then cries. Because you know. Tsukishima's dead. Then we see Shishigawara walk off with Tsukishima into the sunset and Shishigawara talks to Tsukishima who doesn't answer, and then we see a panel of his face of him looking....dead.

It's true that Ginjo said that he had a few minutes, but then we saw him survive through the night til dawn. And we saw him awake and speak to Shishigawa after Orihime had forgotten, meaning she didn't forget about him because he was dead at that point. More likely, it's just because he had just lost his ability like the others did.

as for the next chapter i wonder....at this point i really can't even guess, im happy that Ginjo's story seems to have been short....so far so maybe we can talk about Urahara and Ishinn....i jus wonder why it is that it went right past whatever convo Ichigo and Urahara had and now its sorta like its nothing to worry about, even tho imo it couldnt have been anything short of shocking, but no...onto Riruka waking up.....jus torture Kubo owes us a '40 page special revelations chapter' imo thats the only way to kick off the year...THE right way

^THAT. Seriously, does anybody remember that 40+ page chapter in SS arc w/color pages? Yeah, we need one of those. and using it to start the arc off would be even better.

Those that were under his effect would lose that effect if Tsukishima removed it or if he died, acording to Ginjo. Asuming it wasnt a lie at the time i think your correct on that one ^^.

That's the thing. After that scene, Tsukishima was shown waking up and speaking to Shishigawa. So he wasn't dead at that point, meaning what happen to Orihime wasn't due to his death but likely whatever reason the Fullbringers had lost their abilities. I'm not saying he couldn't have died at the end, just that the evidences of Ginjo's words and Orihime not remembering him doesn't actually prove anything.
