A ha ha ha ha ha ha the A-Team release of Chapter 54 got removed from MangaUpdates and now people are having a discussion because of the watermarks. And nobody else seems to be releasing the series. I dunno what happened to MC and Ghastly Scans closed up shop so they're like the only group doing it. Presumably a dick move on their part, judging from the comments on the A-Team site, but I still find the drama to be kinda hilarious.

this is ridicolous i dled A teams ver to see the whole page filled with this crap, A team is being too obnoxious seriously. I agree hosting without permission and all is rude thing to do but the author made it clear that scannalting is an illegal thing to do few months ago remember?
nd even then he kept breaker on without any sort of childish contrivance like A team.

seriously if things start going on like this other scannalatior should start taking on the series .
the chap was fine , a long awaited fight and i am sure things will get more interesting next chap as both of them go all out . I am dying to see what can shiwoon do against a master class.
This presumably will be his first victory over a master class(victory over chundmoon dont count)

They are not quite the only ones, since they started doing these watermarks someone who calls himself MrX started releasing the chapters. Not as clean and pretty but better than having the annoying watermarks all over the page.

I dunno, my knowledge regarding the watermarks and the scans is somewhat low since I don't read the scans themselves. I only read what people say about them.

Ghastly Scans (Mr X) did a release too but it was also deleted from mangaupdates.

A team are fighting a battle they can't win, the only way their work doesn't get on mangafox is if they stop it altogether.
Otherwise me a follower of their releases, because they do a very good job, above standard marks. I will stop downloading from them, I couldn't even understand half the chapter with so many watermarks and boobs.

It wasnt funny man i was like WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING? nd i dleleted the whole downloaded file. read from the online readers, basicalley they are pushing fans to read the works from elsewhere.
I dont remember the author watermarking get lost scannalors or some vile stuffs like that. This is pretty childish and annoying. water marks were tolerable but this is too far man

Slight Correction: The author was actually complaining about sites like Mangafox and Mangareader who make a profit from ad revenue by uploading scanlated content. When you use google or any other search engine the top results are usually online readers such as those, A-teams website is not that easily found.

Truth be told I found it hilarious, and seeing all these "chivalrous" fans lose control of their emotions. It's quite the spectacle. Some even said "Scanlating is wrong and you have no right to do this" on a scanlating group's website or "No offense but...." then carry on cussing in the next line in their replies. Then a week later you see the same people complain again when A-team watermarks the chapter the following week. Hilarious, pure comedy right there.

I took it as a joke, A-Team usually releases a clean version in the next 24hrs afterwards. A-team excluded Batoto from their criticisms of online readers in the credits page. Although there are other practical ways of addressing this issue other than watermarking.

One thing is for sure, A-team is not making a profit off the Breaker or any other scanlation groups for that matter. As a breaker fan, shouldn't people be more concerned with online readers that leech off groups just to make ad revenue?

Oh for anyone curious about the watermarks, A-Team plastered Lucy Pinder's bare chest on every page (I'm amazed how people recognize its her, just from the chest... we have some legendary perverts roaming the internet.) The intention behind this action I think was to make the watermarks so inappropriate, that online readers wouldn't use them.


Edit: Mr. X does use A-team's translations and changes a few words here and there, I think he admitted it in the past. It's ironic how he's ranting about this, I mean how did Mr. X find out about it unless he actually took the time to visit the website and download it. If he hated A-team so much, then isn't it more logical to move on to another scanlation group, A-Team isn't the only group doing The Breaker New Waves. Did the other group stop or go on winter break?

I am surprised Shioon didn't use any foot techniques in the chapter even to avoid the attack from glasses but now it's 1 v 1 and this is where we will see how much he has improved. I have been waiting for this for a hell of a long time and I want to see some crazy shit go down in these next few chapters.

I'm well aware of their rules in regard to the Breaker, that's why I made the post above to clear any misunderstandings and end the meaningless debate/rants. A-team is not the only scanlation groups with such rules either or watermarks for that matter.

"And caught up, damn it's December already. For all online readers and international scanlators, we ask that you do not use these translations or host this chapter. To make that clear dont host this chapter. No you cant use our translations anymore. Thank you." - A-team.

The Breaker isn't A-team's only project, that rules applies to all the other works that they allow to be hosted. The Breaker New Waves isn't.

I totaly agree with you, I couldn't tell this with better words...

Now back to the story, what do you think will happen next:

1) Shioon fights the cool guy, but So-Chun Hyuk comes and elder Kwon must interfere. Later elder Kwon would even be forced (by So-Chun Hyuk who would want to take care of Shioon) to escort Shioon back to Shinwoo clan headquarters.

2) Shioon defeats the cool guy and than takes care of Jinie and Yo Ji-Gun, becouse the ambulance car tracks down Shioon's new location. At that time elder Kwon arrives, but So-Chun Hyuk also unintentionally comes by and stops in last second only to see Shioon all worn out, what makes him realize Shioon was fighting the cool guy and not elder Kwon.

I think MrX is claiming that A-team is also profiting so I'm not sure who to believe. Considering how getto their site is, I'm inclined to believe him (in terms of the time and costs it takes). I actually don't mind if A-team makes a little off of it and I don't mind them watermarking it as long as it is still readable. What they did, however, is just a farce and it isn't going to accomplish anything. Nobody is going to download something like that and the online readers will just wait until a clean version comes out to post it.

Btw, the other team that was doing the The Breaker NW (MangaCurse) disbanded (at least last I heard) so A-team is now the only team left.
