I don't know if Spring 2012 usually has less titles than usual, but the season seems pretty lackluster.

The one I'll most likely watch out of the bunch is Zetman because it has Namikawa Daisuke and Miyano Mamoru in it, ha ha. I'll probably pick up on the manga too if that's the case.

Ah.. you're right... not many titles... and even less interesting ones... I'll only watch out for Fate/Zero part 2...

Ooh, a new Eureka Seven! I watched the original ages ago as a kid. Don't really recall much of it but I'm a mecha fan so Eureka Seven Ao's almost a guarantee on my list. I might take a look at Zetman as I've heard about the manga and like Asa, the seiyuu appeal to me too

And of course, there's Fate/Zero part 2. I watched part 1 and I'm DYING to watch part 2 Damn the 3 month break! If anyone here has yet to watch part 1, PLEASE DO. The animation is breathtaking and the story has been quite captivating so far - I highly recommend it (even if you haven't watched Fate/Stay Night).

Uchuu Kyoudai is a great manga, the anime should be very good. I don't read Kuroko but if Production IG is producing then I assume the anime will be worth watching.

Yeah, it is really short! I mean there are no original series or am I missing something? I have not sat down and watched a good anime for months! The winter list disappointed me, this is even more disappointing.

I might just might watch something because it might get too long for me not watching anything.

Re: Spring Anime 2012 Preview Guide

    Eureka Seven spin-off/sequel???!?!?! AWESOME!

This must be the big project Tomoki Kyoda mentioned in his video interview in Tracon last summer. I really liked the first series, it was really cool. Will totally watch the new one.

Of others Zetman is win, I guess I'll check Kuroro though I don't like the manga that much (lot of better sports manga out there, thought, it is not too bad either), and based on recommendations Uchuu Kyodai (synopsis remind me little of Planetes, which is one of my all-time favorites)

But the spring seems promising, as the winter hardly holds anything that interests me.

I think I may watch Medaka too. Not because I like or read the manga, but because it is by Gainax. That alone should make it interesting.

What is with Medaka and Kuroko getting top notch studios while Toriko and Beelzebub got stuck with Toei and Studio Pierrott?

Accel World might have potential, but I'm scared for Medaka Box. I like the series and all, but I don't wanna see it cluttered with bad fillers.

Re: Spring Anime 2012 Preview Guide

I doubt Medaka will have enough continuous episodes to have filler. I expect Medaka to be a 24 episode, late night anime. If it is popular it will get another 12 or 24 episode season, then maybe a movie, another season after that, etc. But long, filler laden continuously animated series like Naruto are very, very rare exceptions. Even for manga adaptions. Even if the entire manga is eventually adapted I doubt there will ever be an episode of filler, same goes for Kuroko.

Re: Spring Anime 2012 Preview Guide

^^ Medaka box will on filler? i don't think so it it will unlikely on filler because Latest of Chapter 128 or 129.. it will take two or three season will catch up current chapter

What? most of my favorite series ... Medaka box, Accel World ,Kore de Zombie desu ,Sankerea, will on anime... my wish came true ..
i can't wait for Zombie Desu .. i love season 1... i can't wait it!!!! for Season 2 .. (it is best late Christmas for me i guess Santa read my wish list )

I hope Accel world anime will keep Manga plot-wise unless they change plot for younger kids ( i will piss off at who will change it)

i am huge of Eurkea.. ( i already bought it Blu-ray ) i thought Eurkea Seven Ao will air on summer season ?

I suppose the list of new series will not be updated then? There are only so few series compared to other seasons.

Either way, from all titles only Accel World actually piqued my interest. Although the summary feels like it is mostly standard, with someone usual turned into an important and extraordinary person. Hopefully it won't be as standard as that. :P

Re: Spring Anime 2012 Preview Guide

I knew there was something lacking earlier. :P

I can't put my finger on it, but the art style for Hiiro no Kakera looks familiar. At least there's one bishonen cast out of the many "moe" ones, ha ha.

Deva Zam looks so cool. Love how it looks gothic judging from that one still.
