Yu Hansung and Headon are plotting something behind Zahard's back? Wow, maybe some guardians are disastified with serving the empire after all... Now it is certain that they know Baam's origin, why else choose him for what they are planning?!

I wonder if we will have a timeskip and a jump of some floors, it seems natural now. Anyway with this pause I may read it again, there are some things to remember...

any one think tha tLero Ro and Quaint will join the walhaiksong and Baam will join the dark side?
i kind a feel that for some reason the Guardians are pissed/bored with Zahard continuing the rule for so long and becoming the king of the tower so Headon who is possibly the most active Guardian is trying to change things by helping ppl like Baam and Mazino(50 yrs to cover the tower esp after Phantaminum incident and ppls hatred for irregular is a bit too miraculous dont you think?)

Do you think the rings make be some sort of track devices so that they can continue to spy on Rachel team ?
Also I'm curious to learn how Yu Hansung knew that Baam would survive. Was it a forcast from the guide ? It does no seem like it was easy for Baam to get out.

Wow the chapter was so full of developments and things to discuss, the series is getting more and more interesting!

I really don't know anymore:

• [1]Have the shown "bad people" been trying to protect Baam from something (Jahad's Princesses, ...), or really try to kill him ???
  
  [2]If Baam is irregular, might Lahel also be irregular ???
  
  [3]How will Baam be able to climb the tower if he failed (or was it mentioned that the test is successfuly completed, if only 1 comes out alive and I forgot/missed that part) the last test ???

My thoughts on the points you mentioned:

1. I doubt that Androssi or even Anak are involved in this, nor do I think that Yuri is meant with the mentioned "Zahard Family" (but I wouldn't deny the possibility that she wants to use him for her own/the Walhaiksongs purpose). From the feeling I get he (Yu Hansung looks like a woman though...) was talking about someone higher up, maybe someone who's observing the irregulars closely for a specific purpose. Or it could be that this is something only related to Baam because he seems to be a very special person.

2. Rachel is without a doubt an Irregular, because Headon clearly said she wasn't chosen. So far we only heard about Irregulars who forced their way into the tower but Rachel only got in thanks to Baam, maybe that's why it's a bit confusing. It is clearly stated that Regulars are chosen by Headon though, which is not the case with Rachel.

3. IIRC Baam made it so that everyone would pass the test even if only one of them reaches the bottom in the bubble. If this means he passed too, even though he didn't stay in the bubble, is unclear. On the other hand I doubt that Baam will climb the tower by normal means now, at least he will be disguised because otherwise the Zahard family would know that he didn't die and whoever Yu Hansung talked to (most likely Headon) doesn't want that.

My thinking so far:

People behind the scene want to use Baam as they did use all other irregulars. I believe their motive might be that they want to prevent irregulars to be seen as good to climb the tower, and so their plan might be to show Baam as a bad guy like all other "irregulars" who would ever want to climb the tower. This might fit, why letting irregular people climb the tower would be bad in some point and disturb the balance as it is now.

For what reason would they want the irregulars to have a bad reputation? What I think is that the Zahard Family (or only Zahard himself) want to prevent irregulars from climbing because they're a threat to them/him. What Zahard actually wants is still a mystery to us.

An epic chapter indeed. The next stage will be released when? I can't wait xD
I loved the ending, gave Baam a real motive to climb up and the players seems to be all placed. They're indeed fighting over Baam and now I don't know who is the bad anymore. I truly love that feeling of any story I read.

Felt kinda short, though.

Hopefully there won't be a long break after the next chap, the one week wait is already killing me XD I feel the same as you, not knowing who actually are the bad ones is quite interesting. It's something that increases the quality of the manga a lot, if well done (at least for me).

Is that really the bull? Since we saw Rachel came out from a pretty disgusting creature in previous chapter... I'm not sure. ^^;

I thought it was this creepy creature that Rachel came out from too. Wonder how he survived though, either someone helped him or he was so "angry" that he was able to get out himself.

The question is what or who is the dark side? every fraction seems to have their own goals but we don't know who's purpose is actually good or bad.

I wonder about "The Truth" Lero-ro mentioned though, what is it that the Walhaiksong know/could tell him?

Interesting thought the rings definitely have some kind of purpose and a tracking devices wouldn't surprise me. I guess it has at least another function though, otherwise you could just destroy or throw him away.

I honestly don't know if Rachel is an irregular. I mean...Baam IS an irregular, yet He was chosen by the Tower? Then Rachel was not chosen by the Tower and She entered anyway. I'm still confused about this.

The options are simple, anyway:
1) One if an irregular and the other is not: Which will bring us to wonder why one is and the other is not.
If Baam is the regular then we should wonder how He forced the door and how the fuck He's so talented with Shinsoo. If Rachel is the regular then we should wonder why Headon lied.
2) Both are irregulars: Which could be the case, but that bring us the question why Rachel is an irregular and how She "forced" the door.
3) Both are regulars: Which is impossible as stated by Yuri.

As far as i know:

An irregular is a person who opens the door to the tower by himself, while regulars are chosen.
I could imagine that in that respect, only baam is irregular because he did open the door by himself, but we do not know for sure whether baam was chosen or not.

But i believe he is, since yuri believes he is.

Lahel did NOT open the door by hersel, elseways headon would not mock her.

But Rache was not chosen, either, rachel, consequently, is neither irregular nor regular.
We could either enlarge the definition of irregular or add a third definition of persons in the tower.

In my opionion Rachel is neither an Irregular nor even a regular.

She's was ported there to make Baam come through the Door as irregular. Simple Bait.

She might have been ported like a choosen regular ( no reason to think shes a irregular at all ), but what was she doing at a test location that was clearly not meant for her ?

Doesnt make any sense to me at all, cept if she were a bait for Baam.
Someone in the shadows pulling the strings and he clearly couldn't risk, or wasnt able to port Baam inside the Tower directly. Thats why he / they used Rachel.

Even if she's got there only because Baam held her during that moment, that wouldnt make her an irregular either. It would just mean she's not where she's supposed to be.
In that case Baam is a regular with the strenght to open the Door ( irregular ). Probably the 1st of that kind.

I will stick to the Bait theory by like 70/30, cause Headon's and the Directors actions make much more sense that way.

It's possible baam was chosen, but lahel went through the opened door, then baam opened the door himself.

That's make lahel some kind of regular who took the place of another regular and would make baam a regular who opened the door himself.

I think the definitions do not help anyone here, let's just keep the facts:


Lahel is not supposed to be in the tower, she was not chosen nor opened the door herself.

Bam was supposed to be in the tower, but obviously DID open the door himself

After rereading these past few chapters it looks like a previous prediction of mine was deadwrong (Lahel betraying Baam being a last-minute thing), though I was spot-on with my suggestion that Lahel's motivations were (in)directly fueled by her fear and jealously of Baam.

I'm not sure why but I feel unusually excited for Part II, though I'll end up screaming "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!" if Lahel is the focus for Part II. Lahel isn't exactly the type of character you'd want for a main lead in any type of fictional work. This is the one development for Part II I am not looking forward to.

Other than I feel the need to reread everything in one go.

Hmm, i think lahel could work as a mainlead, since there'll still be lesoo, koon and all the others.

Lahel is exactly the kind of character that works well to lead a second half. Her motivations are unclear currently, but I prefer to see her while Baam gets stronger off-screen.

Well, the post script is out and there are some pictures that are looking good. The good thing is that PART 2 will start on 30th January 2012!!! I can't wait to see how Baam got 'that'.
