It's just too strange for me. Why the wanted to take down Byakuran so badly? I actually thought that at least Reborn and Colonello would want to help Uni not to die, but now everything is so strange. And I don't get the reason Iemitsu is pushing his son so much.

The same reason any father-like "baddie" in any manga has antagonized another character, preferably a protagonist: to force them to get stronger.

Oddly, I'm blanking on immediate references other than Tokiya Mikagami and Meguri Kyoza.

I'd advise everyone to read this version instead; it has a better translation. I mean, "Dokas"? What is that? ^_^; Although I am grateful that mangareader got the chapter out faster...

I'm surprised that Byakuran intervened like that, and I really wonder why Uni wants Reborn to win rather than herself. O:

I agree about Hibari calling Xanxus the Monkey Boss, lol. <3 Glad that little piece has stuck with them, and how Bel calls Hibari a duck. It's funny that Hibari and the Varia seem to be conversing rather familiarly despite technically only having known each other from the fight for the rings. (I mean, yes, Hibari does meet the Varia in the future, but they didn't really interact all that much, especially not so familiarly.) I'm disappointed this chapter didn't go into their fight at all, but I can wait... *fingers crossed for Dino to show up and Fon to release his curse*

I'm also pretty surprised that Mammon is calling in Xanxus already!! Maybe he's just being overly cautious... He doesn't think that Hibari can take them all out, but he probably wants to save as many of his representative watches as possible for future battles. This is only Day 2, after all. O:

I agree about reading the mangastream version, I was so lost with mangareader because of that translation! @_@

But wow, where to start with this chapter. I too was surprised about the casual talk b/w Hibari and the Varia and hopefully the next chapter we'll see at least somje of their fight (though it seems it'll be more focused on Tsuna and Iemitsu).

Holy CRAP! Tsuna still has his gaunlet?! One of the reasons, I was pissed with the VG was b/c most of the guardians lacked their old cambio formas and Tsuna showed no signs of having his till now! XDXD (this makes me extrememly happy, since he most likely still has his cloak as well). Which makes me wonder, if he wanted to use defense, why didn't he use that? Or rather, why didn't he try taking a shot to stop Colonnello from even taking a shot in the first place?!

One other question, did Byakuran just...die? Or just mortally injured, his wings are definitely gone, that's for sure. But it was nice, he tried to kill Tsuna twice, but he's saved both Yamamoto's and Tsuna's lives. He's done a good job making up for past mistakes. XD And it was also nice to see realtionship dispute b/w Yuni/Gamma/Byakuran.

My past theories consisted of Colonnello running out of time before shooting (obviously didn't happen), Reborn saving him/releasing his curse (almost happened, darn you Byakuran! But it was hilarious seeing him jump over Reborn and Gamma's heads, lol), and Tsuna being pissed off enough to shoot an X-Burner, which actually would've been quicker with the gauntlet and I've already questioned. Anyway, now Tsuna's really pissed off and I'm looking forward to round 2 with the fight with his dad. ^____^

One last thing, to the person who mentioned Iemitsu just doing his job as Outside Advisor in reagrds to attacking Mukuro and Byakuran...yeah...he just risked killing/mortally wounding his son/the only Vongola heir left. Can't really see him as being anything less of a bastard and Colonnello's shot had hit, both he and Iemitsu probably would've been gravely punished for that. (technically still should for the attempt, but no need to get confusing at the moment, what with the tournament and all ).

EDIT: Forgot to mention, so many people believed Reborn would give up his freedom for Yuni if he won, seems like it's looking the other way around, lol.

BTW, I'm thinking the second gen box weapons used by Mukuro (and Flan) will allow them to use something like the Mist VG Ver. X, except hopefully on a grander scale.

Although we never actually saw what Flan's box weapon in the future does, I do wonder if Flan got his memories of the future back...

Surprised, thrilled and mentally tired.

Surprised because of Byakuran selfless act. Thrilled and mentally tired for the reason of one single square and a word, Reborn saying present!! I almost didn't believed my eyes, I frozed and thought it's alredy too early, but then Byakuran comes and suprise!! self sacrifice, oow.

Will Xanxus wake up or just turn to other side and ignore till the figth reaches him? And I agree, I liked the fact that Hibari is still calling XX the monkey mountain boss it's amusing, and I enjoyed the the interaction between him and varia. They seem to respect each other as figther, even if they don't show it with their words. (let's not forget that Hibari beated Bel once)

So Uni team is one down (probably), so who the other will be? somehow I still want to vote for Skull's team, they don't amuse me much as the others characters, but they didn't showed up in any battlefield till now in this second day, so it's up to Marmom's, Colonello's or Fon's, I don't believe (must likely I don't want) Hibari will get out now and I think time will run out before we get an Iemitsu-Tsuna decision so only varia is left, but I believe everything can happen so I'll vote now (I know I talk/write too much): either it's Varia or CEDEF. (still hoping it'll be Shimon hehe XD)

I have nothing but simpathy for Iemitsu, I love him commanding with his hand on his pocket so bossy. It's mafia, famiglia before family!

No Mukuro action in all the chapter, he's up to something I'm sure! But if the Uni team really was eliminated, as it seems, one thing will piss me off, I was rather curious about Uni's realease.

Of course colonello wouldn't join Reborn to realease Uni's curse beacause he want to realeses Lal.

Prediction: Reborn and Uni want the same thing, to realease Luce's curse.

Should Hibari stand any chance against Varia alone? Xanxus shouldn't have to get involved if the rest work together against him. If he defeats them all then he is just flat out overpowered.

I fear we will have to wait until the other Cursed One's release before we get to see Reborn fight.

Dammit this chapter Tsuna totally pissed me off. How much will it take for him to man up and start understanding he can't possibly save everyone, that he has to make decisions really fast otherwise things like that always happen , like Byakuran sacrificing himself( he's not exactly my fav character but i felt bad for him )

I would be pretty surprised if next chapter he fights at full strength against his father . i can already foresee he will try talking things up before deciding to actually fight back *sigh*
Oh and it's a shame that Reborn didn't get to use his power but well i guess it's too soon and he will need it later since Tsuna is the way he is

Well, I for one am glad Reborn didn't go adult this chapter. It's a dish I want to leave for dessert!

One of the losing teams will obviously be Yuni's now -- I realize anything is possible in a shounen manga fight, but it seems that Byakuran's watch is really done for, especially in the light of Yuni's words about Reborn not having a right to lose the battle.

The other team... I vote for Iemitsu going down, and his team along with him. Not because I dislike him - I'd rather prefer to get rid of Shimon, to tell the truth - but it's unlikelly Tsuna's going to lose to his father again. And he does look resolved now - it's high time he showed some action, after all. Also, Colonello will probably revert back to his arcobaleno form now, which means he won't be able to help.

I don't believe in Hibari taking down the whole Varia either, or even Varia without Xanxus (supposing he prefers to go on sleeping lol). One or two of them sure, but not four at the same time. It wouldn't look plausible. And for all we know, they might even continue bragging until the battle time runs out (But I still hope they get to fight for a little while at least).

P.S.: or maybe Hibari will notice Dino trying to sneak away to help Tsuna and will forget about Varia completely because he wants to bite Dino to death so much more

From the begining of the series,when reborn was about to fight ,someone have always interrupted him.Its Amano's policy i quess,but she cant avoid it in this arc,so its matter of time.I'am impressed that Byakuran sacrifice himself,i just hope he got his watch destroyed though:P
Verde is smart i think the best think to do is to retreat for now or he may go out along yuni.Lussuria,Levi even Belphegor cant possibly win against Hibari if they were alone, but squalo is pretty good.In other words i think that 4 varia together and hibari are around the same level,viper's fear is logical for me and he did the best possible move waking up Xanxus.I was fearing the fact that Fon picked only one representative would bring hibari in a tough situation sooner or later,i just hope he get some help from Dino or someone else.

Well even if Mammon decided to wake up Xanxus it's not like he will actually go there to help unless all the guys from Varia suffers complete defeat. I'm sure he doesn't see Hibari as an interesting fellow to pick a fight with.
Beside i think Squalo should make a good opponent for Hibari at least till the end of those battle minutes. I think the battle will end without being settled
