Hm ... Something tells me that this manga really may end after the middle schoolers overtake the high schoolers. Truly, the middle schoolers are too strong at this point.

Ummm no way it'll end after the high school march they haven't even face the world yet? Also before this series started Konomi-sensei stated that Prince of Tennis was a prologue; how can a series sequel be shorter then a prequel prologue?

Hard to say for now how long will be the new manga comparing to first one but I am also sure that new one will be long enough to show the "World Team Championship". It is pointless to just show a battles between japan middle and high schoolers. World is large and there are tons of players who are much stronger than people like Byodouin or Ryoga (of course Tezuka too). There will be a mixed team of high and middle schoolers after these matches and I am sure we'll see head coach after that (finally). The most interesting part will just begin.

You're heavily overestimating the guy. Remember, other than the current generation of junior high schoolers and high schoolers and Nanjiro Echizen back in his day, Japan was and still is regarded as "an island nation of tennis amateurs" in the eyes of foreigners, according to the guys of Nagoya Seitoku.

So, tell us exactly why you seem to hate Tezuka so much? We've yet to see a way to actually break TnK, so yeah...

Even tokugawa said he thought lowly of japans tennis. There's going to be monster there but konomi made it obvious that as a whole japan is on the bottom part of the toem pole. Atobes abilities are credited from his stay in GB iirc.

Who in the hell said I hate Tezuka? I just said you're heavily overestimating him to be this super tennis god; Konomi has made it clear that in the PoT world, Japan's tennis ability isn't anything to write home about, with the exception of Nanjiro Echizen, who dominated the tennis world 25 years prior, and the current generation of players (the main cast) who are going to change things forever. As it stands, it's obvious that there are players in other nations that are superior to Tezuka, even though we haven't seen them yet.

And where was it said that Nanjiro beat Bundro with TnK? Nanjiro was just really, really good, such that he disregarded the existence of TnK entirely.

Tezuka with TnK it's just almost unbeteable. It's sure that we'll see stronger players, but not too many, one or two players that can break TnK, which I doubt, but it's possible.

I think in the fisrt part The new u-17 Team is gonna play only vs Asians Teams. and in other part vs all the world teams.

Don't count your chickens. The reason he went to Germany is so that Konomi-sensei can make him even more stronger. I believe Konomi has always wanted to implement the idea of a Seigaku member leaving to join another team, with his thoughts on originally having Fuji be a Rikkai member for the Nationals. Tezuka's probably going to join the Germany U-17 and we'll see an opponent stronger than him.

Tezuka in the U-17 Germany team is what I think that will happen, the final match should be against germany with Tezuka vs Echizen or Echizen vs Germany's captain that is stronger than Tezuka.

Altough this has nothing to do with this thread, are there any spoilers for chapters 71,72 and 73?

I reckon its Echizen vs. Germany captain and I hope for Tezuka vs. Fuji. So far Fuji has not lost to an opponent twice and I think that this match needs to happen for Fuji to prove it.
