I already posted a couple of tracks from Franck Rivoire (aka Danger), I'd like to share some more.
He can also be credited for the soundtrack of an anti-smoking ad/animation directed by Koji Morimoto :
(there are english subtitles)

It's funny, I didn't remember this side of Ken. I must said, it's so old that I barely remember watching it :-)
Ken le Survivant was one of the series I grew up watching, they had to dub it down so it could be suitable for French kids TV. Chevaliers du Zodiaque was another, Nicky Larson, L'ecole de Champions, Olive et Tom, Ranma 1/2, etc Childhood tv was so awesome!
'Old school feeling(s)' inspired music videos :

A few songs that are very dear to my heart (my apologies for the many french songs to those who won't understand the lyrics) :
P.S. goldb, please don't forget what the decisive factor was. If you're willing to, you are always more than welcome.

Love MC Solaar, Disiz and IAM. IAM are my favourite french artists; such good lyricists. Saian Supa Krew are also one of my favourites, I'm really into old school music and some french rappers seem to be very good at keeping rap old school and simply about lyrical content. Booba is the exception as he's very US-like but I love his tracks from a few years ago.
What decisive factor???
I really enjoy Saian Supa Crew as well, mostly good vibes in their songs.
Concerning Booba, imho, he lost his appeal when he changed his flow and started spouting (almost) complete crap. That started happening between 2004~2006, if I recall well. As you say, he's very US-like now. I really liked what he did with Ali in Lunatic though, and I must admit that I listened to the album "Temps Mort" a lot back in 2002~2003.
Oh noes ! I don't know how to reply, and how to understand the confused smiley, since you posted a couple of songs (thanks ), but in case you really don't remember :Quote:
Do you like Grand Corps Malade ? I was surprised when my mother said she likes it... I know he has good critics but I have not really listen to him yet.
how is my weird FF fella doing?
btw..I know that you read the awkward silence comments..but u don't post there...
in the awkward thread??
ps: your weirdness will be very much appreciated

Awesome french version opening of City Hunter (Nicky Larson) :
Top notch lyrics.
Ranma 1/2, well I would admit that I like this opening one only because I grew up with it. I'm not sure I 'd appreciate if I discovered it just now. :
Dragon Ball Z, strong nostalgic feelings, even if the japanese opening was waaaaaaaay better :
I'd understand if anyone gets : if he discovers it now.

Dans la chaleur de la nuit, le mal est toujours puni. Aucun danger ne l'impressione... Even 15 years after, I still remember the chorus lyrics by heart, that's quite scary
The French generics were great before Club Dorothée animators trust them all. It's quite funny, that when Minet says Ranma un demi, I hear the generic of Bioman...
I don't know if you guys know about coucoucircus, unfortunatly I learn about it only after its problem with the SACEM. That's quite sad because the guy does a great job. That's where you see that music enterprise are really stupid

Soooo... whatcha favourite song/LP/artist at the moment?
And besides like 'mon cherie' how else could one call his sweetheart in French?
^ That would be "Mon Chéri" addressed to a male, and "Ma chérie" addressed to a female. "Mon Chéri" is already pretty nice, "Mon Amour" (for both female & male) is too, and my favourite is "Ma chère et tendre"=female / "Mon cher et tendre"=male (it fits better an already well established relationship though). "Mon dulciné / Ma dulcinée" is poetic but might be a little too much
Agreed. It's a real sanctuary for our childhood, the last quote in the article from Benoît is very accurate.Quote:

Bon t 'embrasse fort mon bébé j' t' embrasse fort fort fort
Non c' est toi qui raccroche
Non c' est toi non c' est toi qui raccroche
Non c'est toi non c'est toi c'est toi
Bon j' te rappelle
