Apple will probably be more affected on the long-term basis than right now. Most of what Jobs was working on is still probably yet to come out, if he's really the genius everyone says he is. Not saying he isn't, but there has to be plenty of good minds at that company other than just him.

I'd say windows phone will change the market along with Nokya in the next few months. Windows phone was confirmed to be a good OS and nokya has good hardware and design on its products,not to talk about old fans who would surely jump back in its wagon if they make a comeback. It will all depend on app developers acceptance to windows phone.

Apples main problem is that it is kinda expensive, it should have some lower tier products for people, if they had cheaper products they would never have lost to android considering they have a better OS.

So unless apple comes up with something new it will eventually lose the smartphones and tablets market.

Completely unrelated to the current topic, but I had to share.

Today I was reading my o-chem textbook and I got to the chapter over Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. NMR specs are used by chemists cheifly to determine the molecular formulas or weights of compounds. But get this. To keep the NMR spec at cool enough temperatures to get good signals, the inner chamber is surrounded by not only liquid nitrogen, but also liquid Helium. Commonly used temperature would be 4 Kelvin. (0 K being the temperature at which molecules no longer move)

4 K.........That's -450 degrees Fahrenheit.

I heard the lowest temperature ever gotten was 3 K so that's pretty low.

And I guess 0 K is am impossible temperature, first of all the system would need to be isolated by vacuum from any sources of cinematic energy which it's pretty much impossible I think since there will always be a force acting over a certain body.

Actually I was checking it 2,5 to 3 K is about the average temperature of the universe.

The minimum ever reached is actually 1.10^-12 K
