And the scanlation is ready :
Why so many typos.
Wasnt sold on it on cover art alone but thought to still try it out. Pleasantly surprised as it seemed to have elements of goodness and potential to be a good story. The story though feels a bit bloodier and darker than other jump series, with the bloodsucking antagonists and people wilting of sorts. I guess its trying to give some type of horror or dark feeling.
isn't that really similar to his earlier series Bokke and Muhyo to Rouji?
Not that i hate that (Muhyo to Rouji is among my favorite Shonen Jump horror mangas) but this might be getting rather dull after a while....
The first chapter was hardly memorable to me. Sure, it's pretty interesting that we get some bloody stuff here and there, but I was mildly interested at best. It is facile if I say that this won't be an excellent manga, but I was underwhelmed by the first chapter. Still looking forward to read the next chapter regardless what I've said.
Yeah, there's definitely a lot of recurring elements in Yoshiyuki's style.
I like the angle that Hachi's shounen hero routine seems to bore the shit out of everyone and probably doesn't do wonders for his social life. Seems better paced than Bokke-san, though I'm kind of worried he might end up going too fast this time.
Nice start though, I hope it does well enough to stick around for a while.

It looks like Hachi's title going to be changed little bit starting from chapter 4. The title will be Hachi -Tokyo 23-ku-.
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, chapter 3.
Really excited to see where this is going now.
Hachis really great.
I wasn't so convinced by the second chapter but together with the third chapter, the last two chapters confirm the great potential of the first chapter. It is really interesting to see big changes and events in this early beginning of this manga. Hachi - hero/protagonist - failed to save his best friend and he has been out of order for more than 6 months, this doesn't happen a lot in a wsj manga.
Tokyo 23 palaces looks awesome and futuristic. To me, Lord Jezus and his twelve apostles probably saved Tokyo from the menacing evil. Superb 3 first chapters

Seems too brutal and harsh, people eating people even and failing to save his best friend. Think it ought to be in a more mature shueisha magazine.
Not every shounen manga needs to have a no death policy like One Piece has. This is not a magazine for kids but teenagers and young adults
