I really enjoying this series and I'm glad it moved to Jump SQ. However, I don't want 1/11 to keep doing one episodic chapter even it moved to monthly. Since it moved to monthly, I was hoping this series to balance on drama and sport, like Ahiru no Sora.

I was not overly impressed by chapter one. As I said in the SQ mag talk thread it felt to derivative of Touch, Cross Game, and Area no Kishi but with writing and characterization that was nowhere near as sharp. The art was also rather bland, to many panels of talking heads. It is worth reading the rest of volume one, at least, before passing judgment but I am not expecting much.

Well, I read all of chapters (except chapter 5) and it is pretty good drama story. 1/11 is not exactly a sport series; it is soccer-themed drama series.

I think the episodic chapter was successful in seasonal, but I don't think it will be good for monthly. I was kind of hoping for the author to focus more on actual soccer game when he moved to monthly.

I was hoping this series to be a soccer version of Ahiru no Sora, but I guess not.

I'm with Kaiten on this, Negative. It could've been something, but it's just not. Drama filled sports series are always questionable anyway. That's the good thing about Area no Kishi. There is drama in terms of his life and his brother, but it's light hearted (no pun intended), and the series is primarily about the soccer, not drama with a soccer background.

If you read after chapter 2~7, then you should know what I mean. Plus, 1/11 is not a sport series; it is a drama series with soccer in it. This series doesn't just focus on Andou Sora; each chapter has different protagonists and Sora plays just supportive role.
