Well, you'd need people to do all the jobs. But it's a lot of work. I've had a bunch of stuff I've wanted to do but didn't have enough people to actually get it done.

Speaking of which, I have a new group I'll be doing 81 Diver with, and they seem like they'll do fine.

I'd translate it if I weren't terrible at Japanese, and therefore need a furigana crutch. Right now it would take me a while to crawl through a chapter. I have all four volumes now myself, and may go on to get five.

Living Dead-ish kind of theme. Zombie, perhaps? Whatever the case it seems interesting.

    Re: Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha)

Looks like a table of contents, something I personally can't confirm. If it is do remember that Weekly Young Jump has no connection to Weekly Shounen Jump, other than having the same publisher. Young Jump is intended for an audience up to ten years older than Shounen Jump, there is not necessarily any connection between business practices. There is no guarantee that Young Jump orders there TOC based on fan poll rankings. They certainly do not cancel as many series as Shounen Jump, nor start as many new series per year. Even if the TOC is ranked by popularity, the ranking may not hold any meaning.

I do not know if Young Jump's TOC is a ranking but. I do not think it is, assuming the above list is the TOC. The most popular series in the magazine are clearly evenly spaced between the front, middle, and back. Usogui, Contach, and Kingdom are near the front. Zetman and Tough are near the middle. 81 Diver, REAL, and Rozen Maiden are near the back.

    Re: Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha)

Yeah, I tended to notice that when I was subscribing to Young Jump from fujisan.com last year. A lot of popular or fairly popular series often end up in the back or the middle and some just shoot all over the place. Liar Game is often in the back, too. There's less of a stress about TOC position in YJ. That, or the people voting for the positions don't read the same things people buy. I mean, REAL sells a million copies a volume, so it should be fairly clear something is up.

    Re: Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha)

It reminds me of Weekly Shounen Magazine, either the TOC is not based on fan polls or the manga the magazine readers vote for are different than what they buy. Looking at a few weeks worth of lists it seems that each series is always in the same part of the magazine, never moving more than a spot up or down. That's not even considering that some of the most popular YJ Comics are not weeklies. I'm sure WYJ collects fan polls, there may be manga magazines that do not, but I have never heard of one. I wouldn't be surprised if fan polls played some role in maintaining serialization, not as much as Shounen Jump, how magazines really does?

That isn't the actual ToC, only the series present on the magazine. I mean, they are not ordered, just listed. I couldn't find the real ToC, I'm looking for it yet.

It was kind of obvious. If you look carefully, that list is in Japanese alphabetical order.

How is that obvious to anyone who can not read Japanese.

Btw Nakayama drew a parody of Gantz using characters of Nejimaki Kagyu for the Gantz Omnibus:

    Shueisha Forever!
