    Saiki Kanpatsu in Doubles

As you know Saiki cannot be used in doubles because it is too hard to predict the movements of 3 other people. However it is possible for Saiki to be used if it is 1 v 2, when the Saiki user's partner is not playing.

If a Saiki user was also able to Synchronize with another player, then is it possible for Saiki to be used effectively? If the partners' thoughts are one, then technically it becomes 1 v 2. Or the partner can read the thoughts of the Saiki user and hit to where the Saiki user wants to keep the prediction going. This is currently the case for the Two Wings of Kyushu. Chitose can Synchronise with Tachibana through Moujuu no Synchro and Chitose then used Saiki. However because it is a Synchro variant and not the "true" Synchro, it might not work.

What do you think? Is Saiki Kanpatsu in doubles possible through Synchro?

As Synchro is a state where the players become fully synchronized and become one, it's probable that Chitose couldn't activate Saiki when he is in synchro. The first time you go synchro, like Muga, you play unconsciously, so Chitose wouldn't be able to activate Saiki. However, if they could master Synchro to the extent to be able to activate it at will, then maybe he could use Saiki.

Is weird, because on Another Story 2, in the doubles match of episode 3, Chitose unlocked Saiki and predicted the point, yet Saiki is said to be useless in doubles as it can't predict the point, so maybe the anime screw up a little there.

Maybe we could see in the future a match with Chitose/Tachibana, where Chitose has evolved through training and is able to use Saiki to his fullest and use it in doubles.

I can totally see this happening, but saiki not working in dubs has always bugged me because I view doubles as being more predictable than singles, but then again I don't live in POT world.

This theory should actually be possible through PoT logic. Since the two players in Synchro supposedly share vision, it means Tachibana could probably see what Chitose sees and would be able to hit returns that would add up to the predicted rally of returns that Saiki decides.

    ...from Fuji...

If the partners' thoughts are one

    ...

Saiki is a insane mental tax on the mind. So hard that even Data players don't have it yet but in essence Saiki is like ultimate data tennis for singles. So, if Tachibana suddenly got flooded all the Saiki nonsense about match through syncro. I think it'd go insane as he's more of a straight up over power type of player. He's a wild player...thousands of math calcs flooding into his mind might make him go crazy.

So, sycroing you're mind while doing Saiki probably isn't good. It probably would work with someone like Inui, Renji, Koharu, maybe Mizuki. Koharu probably has the best bet though.

Now if Saiki can just predict what you're teammate is doing or just proxy him this can work. But just seeing what he does and having him seeing what you're doing isn't going to cut it.

Syncing your mind to a super computer is not always a good idea.
Dang, starting to get too old for manga and anime....

Not exactly from what Fuji said. He was asking a question as well as a statement. It hasnt happened yet in the story yet. I said what he said yet more detailed. He wanted opinions, and my opinion was I perfectly agree with what he said and almost seconded his quote with a small example.

I dont think so. Look at Kikumaru and Oishi. They play extremely differently Singles wise and once in Synchro have no worries of each others thoughts ruining their play styles at all.
Also, if they are in Synchro, they minds are harmonized. No going insane or anything since they are harmonized. If Harmonized they share instincts. It could mean Chitose benefits by gaining Tachibana's wild Abare Jishi tennis style as well as Tachibana not making the call of the Pinnacle of Wisdom but simply playing a strong part in Chitose's rally call.
