No mention of regeneration in the J-Preview, I'm being hopeful of that being bullshit

... Because it would seriously be way too overpowered, although it sort of makes sense. If he can give life in the sense of growing wood (no pun intended), why not himself, but I seriously hope he couldn't regenerate.

Where's Naruto vs Tobi? The break from that fight is becoming too big, Kishi... I can't believe we're going to miss a major part of one of the largest and most important fights in the manga, which even features the main character.

Overall the chapter sounded really quick to me, but let's see if the actual dialog makes it feel longer.

seeing how things are going between the uchiha brothers, i guess the spoiled child sasuke will stop itachi with strength in next chapter, then he regrets and will go and stop Edo Tensei by himself

I'm chompin' at the bit to see the look on Sasuke's face when Itachi tells him that Kabuto brought him back with Edo. He's got to be thinking he should have just killed him after he took over Oro. Now the guy is a full blown menace.

Man... that's all we get when it comes to Itachi and Sasuke talking? I mean, I wanted to find out stuff we didn't know, not for Sasuke to just validate what he's heard from Tobi. Though it's wierd that Itachi wouldn't suspect Sasuke to have access to Susanoo. Maybe he didn't expect Sasuke to have access to both Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi.

I also wanna see how he escapes Sasuke's Susanoo. He likely creates his own inorder to block the hand that was trying to grab him in that one picture. Or gets caught and then grows out his Susanoo to break free. Tsunade getting serious should be interesting too. Alot of people were clamoring for some sort of proof that she's not fodder. This should be it, without Kishi resorting to an asspull. Hopefully.

Can he finally put an to the idiotic moves of Sasuke or fail utterly?

The way they keep touting the 1st Hokage makes it seem like he should be the main villain. It's like kishi was premature in bringing him back to fight the 3rd, and now he's overpowering him so that a semi reasonable explanation will allow for his return, i.e. Oro summoned only a clone's dna, or 1st could split himself like 2nd Tsuchi, or this was all the 1st's plan to be revived. I hope I'm completely wrong, but why keep powering up a character we'll never see again?

This chapter looks just embarassing.

The God of shinobi and the yellow flash have both been called the strongest hokage ever, and suddenly, this guy becomes almost Rikudou level ?
Itachi : Hah, I see you don't walk the right path. If you had killed your best friend and become a criminal like I told you to, this wouldn't have happe.... wait ? Something's off here.

Anyways, it looks like Kishi's explanation for making Shodai looks like shit and lead everyone to believe he was not that strong compared to the later hokages was Kabuto's line last week about how no one believed the first hokage's strength to be for real. (and this "everyone" includes Shodai's pupil Sarutobi who panicked at the idea of fighting Minato, yet handled Shodai like a boss)
And that excuse is really poor.

How anyone is overpowering 1st hokage?

ı mean fight vs nidame and shodais vs third in Orochimaru's barrier took all night and we only saw quite limited excerpts from it from the way I interpreted both manga and anime, who is to say shodaime never showed even a fraction of his powers in that battle even though kishi has not showed them to us at that time?

LOL, yeah I was confused at that. He can't still think turning Sasuke into a psychotic murderer was a good plan. I was wierded out by his answer about why he spared Sasuke too. He still wouldn't say he loved his little brother. Infact he was being cold, as if he wanted him to stay angry. Maybe he wants to fuel him with even more hatred so that his EMS matures faster?

There's another thing that came to my attention. When he says why he only spared Sasuke he said because "You knew nothing." Does he mean that literally every Uchiha knew about the coup except Sasuke? And does that mean every Uchiha had malicious intent? That none of them were neutral?

Last few chapters disagree with what Kishi usually showed us...like every new generation surpasses old one...and it's true as long as we will rule out the first generation we know about. Not talking but Kages strenght etc. It's again something like in the first part of Naruto Byakugan was cool, the strongest doujutsu etc and now everything is about sharingan...Now with EMS there's no even Sasuke anymore it's only his EMS...he doesn't even move now when he fights...he just stands there and let sharingan do his work.

That may seem like that but this is impossible...he is under genjutsu to protect konoha so he would do nothing to power up someone who is the threat...at least he shouldn't....when I think about it I'm surprised that Itachi didn't attack him without any explanation.

bad storywriting ... that happens when you don't have the outline written before making a book or manga in this case ... There were couple mistakes and contradiction along the way and there will be more ...

It's a shame but what can we do? nothing ... still I would love to see more of Nidaime - taken interest in him since he is so similar to Minato ...

I wouldn't say that. Just like his fight with Danzou, he's only gonna be able to keep it active for a short amount of time before he has to drop it and catch his breath. Not to mention the situations he's using it in warrants it. Being attacked by multiple opponents? Protect yourself while attacking. Trying to catch your older brother? Grow a giant hand and grab him. Still new to the technique? Use it alot to gain experience with it.

I understand not wanting to see it too often, but it'd be dumb not to use it when it has such advantages. Being able to attack and defend at the same time is nothing to scoff at.

Because as far as they know, the only ninja to ever give him trouble is Hashirama, so the more he plays up Hashirama's strength, the better he looks by comparison.

"Are you kidding me little girl? I went toe to toe with the strongest shinobi ever, countless times. And walked away all but one. What chance do YOU have against the guy who stood on the same plateu of the strongest?"

Makes perfect sense to me. Likewise, Kishi has to make us fear Madara by explaining just how much of a powerup he gained from being fused with Hashirama. So either we hear the kage wanking to him, or Madara wanking to him. Either way it gets the point across that Madara is a beast right now.
