Bleach EP 111 Discussion

im a huge bleach fan - the story and the illustrations for the manga are so amazingly done; im really disappointed to see the treatment it is currently getting in the anime - the past two episdoes have revealed/introduced some the most interesting characters at such garbage quality - as an animator myself, I understand what it means to cut corners concerning details when producing an overall product but the sheer lack of ANY quality at all is ridiculous...

the style just seems completely off from Bleach's glory days - and as far as I can tell from end credits a different animation company now does Bleach (can anyone confirm this?) -

***originally the end credits read: NARA ANIMATION, now its reads J CUBE ANIMATION*** (sighs)

Oh, wow, you're an animator? That's awesome.

And I don't get why they'd change the animation team, either. The first one did a really good job with the latter half of the Soul Society arc, and a pretty good job with the Bouto arc.

That doesn't excuse having such important episodes look so shitty, though.

I know that the animation isn't at it's best and I myself don't like it much, but please don't turn this into an animation agony thread...

I don't mind having some "leftovers" from the bounto-arc, if they incorporate it good.

i haven't seen THIS episode but i hope you understand my point ^^ the last episode wasn't that good animated and if they butchered this one... ok, it's not the best thing, but only bashing is NOT the way to go ^^

but yeah - overall the style just seemed different. I wonder who did the opening and closing credits was it NARA or J CUBE.

but watching Isshin finish off Grand Fisher - simultaneously sheating his sword and opening the wound on GF was definetly the highlight of the episode for me.

I would love to see more Ryukken/Isshin action in the manga - but my guess is that they are on "reserve" until the war in the winter.

umm may be no body paid attention to this but do you think what Isshin wears on the upper part of his left arm is made of metal? I am just wondering because it would be the first time seeing a shinigami wearing metal

What about Komamura? He had the shoulder blades and the helmet...

I hope that they can keep this "2 chapters to an episode" pace up, though that will be difficult later on.

The copy of Ichigo looks terrible.. At first I thought it's because it's a mod soul copy of Ichigo. then, I remembered even his previous copies looked the same as the original so it has to be the drawing itself. -.-

I've never hated the trio before.. but I guess this means they will continue to be here and there in each episode.. I tot after the fillers they would be 'killed off' or something.. I do like Nova though.. *zips his mask* cute xD

But Ryuuken and Isshin kicks ass!! I was a little caught off guard by this surprise but I suppose there had been hints about Isshin, like that talisman that he gave Ichigo before he left for Soul Society.. But Isshin looks totally different as a Shinigami.. o.O I guess it explains why Ichigo is also a shinigami

I can't wait to see Ichigo's reaction when he finds out his dad is a shinigami >.<

damn it I kinda envy you. I did not have enough patience to wait for the fillers to end But if you want to enjoy Bleach more, you probably just need to stick to the anime imo. Although there are lots of other people who enjoy manga more than anime, as the anime doesn't always live up to their expectations.

I like epsiode due to beieng manga plot line somwhat I think :x

Pluses: manga plotline

Minuses:
- mod souls :x
- filler scene with GF (they do him like stupid thing..)
- Ryuken talks about lossing powers to Uryuu, and flashback scene is filler scene, not from fight with Mayuri :x

All in all, for me it was quite not interesting episode. I hope, that when

Ulquiorra and Yammi apear, mod souls will be nowhere to be seen...

I think the mod souls are here to stay and that they will be used (together with Kon) as a device to eat up time in the anime whenever they are getting to close to the Manga. this way they do not have to come up with an entire filler arc but only a few filler scenes here and there. The makers of Naruto could learn a lot from these guys, Besides the Mod soul trio actually have somehow gotten an impressive fan following (don't ask me how).

I would say makers from Bleach should learn from Naruto. Afterall, in overall it would seem that per one epsiode of Naruto there were two chapters, and when we see how it was/is with Bleach, it's one episode with 3 or sometimes 4 chapters ^^" So please don't say that anime makers from Naruto should learn from Bleach :X

Well, I'm sure he meant that they could learn from them in the sense that having memorable filler characters helps a lot iin terms of time management. We can't whine about the fillers if we like the characters as much as the canon ones. Personally I think that the method used by the studio doing One Piece--slowing the rate of canon consumption to minimize filler arcs to no more than one season--is best.
