He does actually look similar to Brownbeard. Instead of Hawkins failing he could have something with Brownbeard and crew being turned into centaurs. Although someone could have just came by and picked up the defeated Brownbeard and experimented on them/him.

but hawkins mustn't be wrong! about brownbeard experimented,now I doubt about that,since he should have died. he may be a giant ( :? ). anyway,they should have just passed through punk hazard,where the samurai(s) attacked them,the problem now is Law.

Hi fellows,

it was a nice chapter this week, lot of thing have already been said about it but I will give my opinions on it :

- Robin idea of swimming was funny (and cute)

- I didn't really like Ussop having a boat seed but I'm ok with it as long as it doesn't have a plant for every situation as someone else fear it (don't remember who, sorry), don't get me wrong, I would be glad to see him using his seed and his intellignce to find solutions to problems (maybe I would have prefer a huge water lily for example or floating potatoes)

- nothing to say about the centaurs, they are here, cool for them, don't think they are a threat and after a misunderstanding and some punchs in the face they will become aliies wtih strawhats (unless they are bastards and the real villains of this arc)

- Smoker, Tashigi and their G5-men, not much to say either, Smoker was calm and cool (and funny too, what a polite dude) and his men only served one purpose :

- Law... he made those men freaking out.. he is a shishibukai...it make me sad, kids grow so fast those days...
so as pretty much everyone "predicted" it (even if it's like predicting 2+2 will make 4) he was the one behind the chopping ( I was a fool hoping it wasn't him, seems awfully soon for me to see him right now)

to sum up reactions on him :

we don't know yet if him and M are bad guys because we don't know what they are doing (but yeah, they are probably bad guys)

being a shishi keeps the marine away and let you do whatever you want more easily as they won't purchase you, if I was Law and wanted to make secret experiment without people in my way, I would do it too. He is clearly not afraid and don't want unecessary trouble, seems smart to me (it's not like he gives a crap about his reputation)

many people said it > luffy has disappeared for the last 2 years so his bounty was frozen (but we don't know for how long Law has been a shishi and its bounty is frozen too)

we should not forget that we don't know what Law did (seems dumb since it's the main question but...) as far as we know he could also have destroyed a marine base, back when we first see him, no one wonder how the hell he obtained 222 million bounty although it was the same situation, as well as Kidd (he killed innocent ? big deal for a pirate...), and nobody wondered how Jinbei or DonFlamingo obtained their bounty either...
Law is a pirate, we met him as a freaking supernova which means a dude with high skills and a "bright" future, no need to be shocked in a bad way
Law is a strong cold hearted butcher pirate with a two meters long sword, we may never know what he did ( unless...Robin ?) and I'm ok with it (to be honest I hope Oda has several clone who will make "One piece, spin off baby" telling the story of Kidd, Law, Drake, Hawkins and Bonney but that will never happen)

Law wanted to be shishi, no need to destroy an entire army
plus I'm pretty sure the fact that he sent the freaking hearts (yeah that's the key word here ) is the frightening part of the story, he didn't make prisoners, he didn't sent corpse, he sent hearts...it's as cool as a horse head

crazy guess that is not mine : it's not Law, it's the gas guy who take his shape to make the marines fuck away (apologies to the person who said it, I like this theory even if it's really unlikely)
worse theory : Law is a prisoner, one of his crew (bepo) has been abducted and he has to play along with M to get him back




I don't really have predictions, I can't see what they are experimenting about, I said last time that they probably want to crate strong hybrids, it's still plausible to me but Law is already strong...so for fun ?

maybe a little skirmish between him and Smoker but I don't see a big fight, how could Oda give us a winner without discrediting the loser (he would still be strong but if Law lose, what role could he play later ? if Smoker lose... how will we be excited by him purchasing Luffy ?)
will Brook manage to make a snowman ?
will the centaurs eat the boat plant ?
Is M Magellan's fart ?

My theory is that Law accepted this position in order to make his journey through the New World to One Piece easier. We saw that he was very casual about not rushing into the New World. Perhaps after the war, or even earlier, he had identified the best way to proceed through the New World: get the WG on your side. That eliminates 50% of the threat. Now he just has rival pirate gangs to contend with, not the WG. Just my opinion but it's a smart idea if that's how he's done it.

I don't know.....In my opinion becoming a Shichibukai would likely attract more attention in the New World, and make enemies out of individuals who would otherwise be unconcerned with Law. Without the title of Shichibukai, he would be just another high-bounty pirate among quite a number of high-bounty pirates in the New World. And with the WG's influence far from what it is in Paradise; large areas of the New World being controlled by the Yonko, his conflicts would likely be limited to the pirate crews with which his goals directly and immediately conflicted. By accepting the post of Shichibukai, he almost immediately brings himself in conflict with the vast majority of Pirates in the New World. Shichibukai set themselves apart from other pirates in a way that is akin to putting a bulls-eye on their backs. In Paradise the title was likely to frighten away pirates, but the with the much higher quality of Pirates in the New World, I'd argue that the title is practically an invitation for conflict.

Who said they can't bring people back from the dead? lol. Hawkins prediction doesn't mean that he had to actually kill him either, it just meant that fate was on Hawkins side and death was on Brownbeards. Doesn't mean Hawkins had to kill him, but rather the potentiality of death was at maximum for Brownbeard.

I wonder if the fourth wanted poster is Rayleighs? He did play a big part at the Human Auction House & Kizaru confirmed it still exists. Useless information yeah, cos we can't confirm anything with those grimey pictures, I also love Choppers superhero shouts as he led the kids, he's really living the dream.

My issue with the samurai is he's weird for not commenting on what crazy stuff Luffys doing with his legs or even wondering about were his legs are. Law cutting him doesn't seem justifiable right now but he's a pirate and pirates are bad people so whatyougonnado? Also good on Brooke for running from the samurai = Smoker landed at Brookes port.

What about Law's motivation? Why is he on PH and why is he working with M?

I can think of two motives:

1. Since Law wants to become the pirate king as well, he wants to become more powerful, even more of what he might be. M has found a way to help him. On the other hand Law protects and keeps M secret, so that M can do its research.

2. Law lost his crew in the past, by fighting one of the emperors or subordinates, most likely Big Mum. He wants his revenge. He become one of the shibukais to have at least the marines off his back and to be able to do whatever he pleases on PH. With M, he's working on his bloody revenge to take down the enemy, which enslaved/imprisoned/beat his crew.

IMO M and Law are working on something which doesn't concern the marine nor the government, thus he might lose is shibukai title due to Smoker's unveilings in the very end of this arc.

About M:

It's very probable that M is a failed experiment of Vega Punk to me. M might have been a research assistant of Vega Punk and he became what he is nowadays, due to Vega Punk's failed experiment. This blow of destiny makes him hate Vega Punk and M is trying to recover its previous shape, which it had before the experiment. Maybe is Vega Punk, Law's and M's common enemy.

Well, as a "gas logia" (I'm referring to him as such not knowing whether or not he is), Law could want to reinforce his crew with him, once they make up how to stabilize his body. But I wouldn't draw any analogues between Law and Moriah. Law wanted to wait and likely set up a plan, Moriah likely just went there big-mouthed so Kaidou showed him his place.

I think Law's crew will show up in the next two or three chapters somehow with Captain Bepo ... ^_^

welcome on Mangahelpers! I liked your idea,and I wonder what law is doing there. I mean,this chapter showed M coming back to a bottle,and he said he wouldn't come out from there,no matter what. and then Law came out saying he lives there,so he must be involved with M,but where are his comrades? and why are those scientists sheep?

I can see Buggy becoming shichibukai just because of the men under him. Whitebeard and Sengoku said that there were very dangerous criminals freed from the prison that were following Buggy. Makes sense WG would try to avoid having them as enemies by making Buggy join them.

miniadventures have already reached War's arc. disco has been shown instead of moria's subordinates,such as hogback,absalom ecc. I think we will see them soon,probably with moria. then,next time we should see the guys who kidnapped kaymie,and perhaps Duval too

I thought they were Satyrs... But depending on gender it could be either. Either way this island is like a fairy tale or other similar mythical goodness...
