Hello everybody! You know if I had been a day later finding this month's chapter, you might not have gotten a review. Sorry, but Mass Effect 3 is going to be taking up a decent amount of my free time for a while. Anyways, the chapter came out first, and so I can get a review done. As for the poll results, nobody figured that this chapter was going to be the end of this fight. One person figured we were still in for a long haul, about 4-5 chapters, and one pessimistic person figured Galatea only knows how long we've got left. Four people are cautiously optimistic that withing 2 or 3 chapters the current fight would be done. Anyways on with the review.
Lose Weight Fast-
We open up with Deneve explaining what is needed for Miria's plan to succeed. It's going to involve Hysteria's pride, Anastasia's ability, no one interfering, the other Abyssal and no one dying. Miria for her part is continuing to engage Hysteria in a high speed battle in the air, and technically Helen is interfering, since she's keeping Hysteria from getting a grip with her anchors. With this Hysteria decides it's time to transform again. She sheds her bulbous section to get lighter, and grows four new wings. In this new and improved form, Hysteria is just as fast in the air as on the ground. And that's bad news for Miria.
And Hysteria changes her look again. Actually out of her awakened forms thus far, this is the one I like best. It's definitely slimmed down, and the four wings look better than two. Of course Hysteria should be grateful to Miria and the others for not letting her eat anyone. She lost weight because they put her on a diet, don't you think?
Cassandra the Math Eater?-
Meanwhile Cassandra and Roxanne continue their death-match. Roxanne finally seems to be doing a bit better, destroying a couple of Cassandra heads. Roxy finally reveals her special power, shooting the spikes on her arms. She brags that Cassandra's dust eater won't help her now. But Cass just figures 8 arms – two arms worth of spikes= evade six times for a win! Yes Cass is using the power of basic subtraction to fight! Roxy's response is to shoot more at a time. She gets a pretty good hit on Cass this time, and put's her foot in Cassandra's face, but far as Cass is concerned, shit is still shit.
Roxanne finally reveals her special power. She shoots spikes. That's sorta lame for an Abyssal. Sorry but it doesn't really compare to Isley's arrows, or Riful's ribbons, or Priscilla's uberness. Despite taking hits, Cassandra isn't impressed either. We'll see if Cass can endure, or if this rain of pointed objects will be her second death.
As for Miria, she's not doing well. Not only has Hysteria's speed and maneuverability increased, but half Anastasia's hair is gone, so Miria's has decreased. And then Miria is on her last one as Hysteria point's out. Oh, yes Hysteria noticed how Miria was staying airborne a while ago. But Miria is more satisfied with what Hysteria didn't notice. With the Yoki of two other Abyssal Ones, Hysteria is having a harder time tracking Miria. Or noticing everyone else moving into position. But position for what?
Few things here. First off we see that Hysteria isn't dumber than some random male awakened. She'd already figured out how Miria was staying airborne, and was just playing around with her. I think that Hysteria really want's to hear Miria admit that their was no way she could be as fast as she could. Second, we get a comparison shot with Miria, Hysteria, Cassandra, and Roxanne. This is nice, because we finally see how huge Cass and Roxy are. And they are huge. But the final thing is, just what is Miria's plan? She had everyone else put their Yoki into that final foothold, and then launches herself with it, but she doesn't seem to be aiming for Hysteria. So just what is she doing? It looks like her plan wasn't to just get Hysteria involved in the fight with the other two, but rather to use them as a means of hiding what her group was really doing. So just what is Miria up to?
What does it mean? It means your about to get your butt kicked!
