Congrats to Charlie and Shaheer both of you were correct in last weeks poll!(*ahem* myself.... not so much.
) You guys definitely called it, Regis is not to be underestimated. We got quite a busy chapter this week so..
Onto the review!
Chapter Summary

HISATSU.... DOUBLE APOCALYPSE DADDYBAG PUNCH!!!!
This week picks up right where last week left off, Regis helping M-21 and with Takeo take his medicine and heading to help Tao.
First up was Regis and M-21 versus Ked (Name confirmed!). Regis proved more than a match for his opponent, showing superior speed and enough strength to render Ked's armor ineffective. Through a quick flashback we learn that Regis had been sparing with Karas while he was in Lukadonia, which apparently not only granted him more strength but taught him how to use that strength more effectively; instead of charging straight at his opponent as he was prone to do before.
Whether because of the added distraction Regis provided or because of his own strength growing in battle, M-21 also manages to start doing significant damage to Ked. Fighting together they easily overwhelm Ked, and it looks like victory is close... when Rodin, which is apparently Scarface's name, shows up(Wielding a trident!). Rodin informs Ked that the elder is coming and that they must end this now of face punishment.
Meanwhile Tao is continuing to get his ass handed to him by Lutai(Name also confirmed!) until Takeo shows up and kicks ugly chainsaw wielding fellow right in the face.
In the distance the Redhead and Yuri are shown approaching...until Yuri shoots her through the back with a beam of light. She is understandably pissed off and confused but Yuri says he has no intention of doing the classic evil monologue explanation and that he's just going to kill her. Surprisingly, she doesn't seem to worried about the injury at first (Now THAT's toughness!) but then she realizes her powers aren't responding and her disposition changes a bit. Yuri prepares to finish her with a creepy smile on his face as the Redhead looks up at him with cold fury.
Chapter Review

The hot redhead, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Substance
Wow, where to start....
Regis far exceeded my expectations. Not only is he strong be he's learned to fight smart. By my assessment with those two things working together he might even have been able to solo Ked if he had to. Though it would be hard fought.
The appearance of Rodin will obviously complicate things. He's bound to be stronger than Ked which makes victory unlikely for Regis and M-21. However, Ked is very injured now and if I'm not mistaken it seems M-21 is getting both faster and stronger as he fights. This means to me that they should be able to hold on long enough for Frankenstein or Raizel to arrive.
On the Takeo, Tao, and Lutai front things are looking pretty good. Winning could be a little difficult with just the two of them but they seem like they should be able to hold their own long enough for something to tip the balance. Raizel, Frankenstien, or even Yontsu would probably be enough to help them end it.
Now as for Yuri's taking down the Redhead. The likely explanation as to "why" is that he was sent here by Crombell to crush the 12th elder. Which means nothing could suit him better than Cerberus getting themselves killed. Nullifying the 12th Elder's biggest trump card and making getting rid of him easy and all the blame goes to Raziel and company. The whole thing is actually fairly clever.
Presentation
Great art this week.. Character and battle art was very pretty and easy to understand. The background work was average but not any worse than that, unlike last week.
The pacing was fantastic. Besides the normal fight pacing there were two parts in particular I liked.
First the Karas flashback, now anybody who reads my reviews would know that, in general, I think flashbacks are narrative poison but this flashback is one of those rare cases where it can be a good idea. It was succinct, at a mere 4 pages, and added a significant amount of character perspective on the actions we were about to see; and adding that information at any other time would not have worked as well. It made the situation not only seem like watching Regis fight better than he ever has, but it allowed us to understand why that is. So this is one of those utlra-rare situations were I am pleased with a flashback.
The second part was Yuri's betrayal. The idea of Yuri betraying Cerberus is no surprise but the manner that was executed certainly was. The author gave a a hundred things to think about so we forgot just for a moment that Yuri wasn't to be trusted and in that moment had him turn on the Redhead. It caught me completely by surprise and I suspect I'm not the only one. So bravo!
Final Rating
I'm going to admit something about myself here, I don't like giving out 5's. Mainly, because every-time I do it feels like the score of 5 becomes less.... special. But with all that happened in this week's chapter and how well it was all done I feel I have no choice.
So it's with smile on my face and a heavy heart I give this chapter a perfect 5 out of 5.
My Predictions
- The Redhead will survive this
My Previous Predictions(Current Record 10-10)
At some point, when dealing with the Agency, Seira will fail restrain herself.
Incorrect. It was time to cut my losses on this one. The agency aren't going to be pushing anybody around now and certainly not enough to manage to irritate her.
Cerberus will find out the KSA's secret.
Correct. I've been debating this one of a while in my head. Technically Ked and Lutai know. So it's been confirmed for a while but I meant all of Cerberus. But you know what, screw pride, with my sad prediction ratio I can't afford to be picky.
- Rael will lose his next battle to the RK-4.
- I think Lee Youn-In is going to be more than just a soon-to-be-forgotten sub-character. I suspect she may have a role in the plot.
- The female operative from the Union will eventually end up on Raizel's side, like M-21 and the others.
- Rael will show up at Raizel's school seeking revenge on him and his human friends.
- The Agency Director is evil(obviously).
- Na Yontsu will get mixed feeling about recruiting Shin Woo and Ikkan.
- Raizel will ultimately choose to use himself up completely in order to help his friends.
- The trainees that disappeared are dead or worse.
- Na Yontsu will fight Cerberus.
- These union people will be a legitimate threat to Frankenstein.
- The Rastafarian Cerberus guy with the temper is going to be the first to get killed.
- Sangeen is going to be killed by Cerberus.
- Takeo knows the redhead personally in some way
- Yontsu and Sangeen are not really married.
- Yontsu will help tackle the Blonde Troll.
