Well, I don't really understand why you are saying that it "clicked" for you. The only thing that this theory goes off of is the idea that the prophecies about the Rinnegan are entirely true and will be an immediate part of the storyline.

I could swap out Sasuke and put in Naruto and this theory wouldn't be any more or less credible, aside from the fact that Naruto already has his ultimate intentions established. A possibility, sure, but I just don't see any weight behind it, which was the implication I was getting from your OP.

Well, that's why it did click. Naruto's path is set at this point, he's made up his mind what side he's going to fight on so he could no longer choose to destroy the world. Sasuke, however, still has that choice ahead of him.

But The Oogama Sennin's profecy said taht it was one of Jiraiya' student who would be on such path: the positive or negative revolution path depending on Jiraiya'a teaching and final choice. Sasuke was never being trained by Jiraiya.

That's correct but that's not the prophecy I'm talking about. When the Rinnegan was first introduced to the story Jiraya said that they were purported to be "tools of the Heavens that appeared in trouble times to either save the world or destroy it". That's the legend/prophecy that I'm referring to, not the one about Jiraya's student. There are two different prophecies.

Sasuke's likely to get the Rinnegan when Tobi synchronises him with Gedo Mazo. However I don't see him being the one to ultimately take Madara/Tobi out.

totally agreed! it would be nasty if the enemies took the other enemies out one after another. sasuke and itachi defeat kabuto,and then madara,tobi ecc. nope,it won't go this way. the uchiha brothers are allowed to defeat kabuto,but tobi has to be defeated by naruto himself,and so does sasuke!

I don't think Naruto will defeat either of them to be honest. That's not his role in the story.

Tobi already claimed he was gonna fuse Sasuke with Gedo Mazo. As far as we know that's only possible with the Rinnegan, as Tobi never controlled it until he had one Rinnegan in his eye. Likewise, Nagato had Rinnegan when he controlled it aswell. I don't think you can fuse with it without the Rinnegan meaning he either wanted to give Sasuke one of the Rinnegan eyes from Nagato, or he was going to give him the DNA necessary to awaken his own Rinnegan.

UNLESS, the eye only looks like Rikudou Sennin's when you have a Senju/Uzumaki body. And since Sasuke doesn't, his could take the form of the Uchiha ancestor's eyes. Maybe.

I think Madara said "link" not fuse. All Akatsuki member were able to link to Gedo Mazo. But he still doesn't trust Sasuke.

as we all know. j-man was going to have a student who was going to have a power to destroy the world or save it.
but it was never say the rinegan as that power. naruto have that power already= 9 tail.

sasuke will have the rinegan and naruto the full power of the 9 tail.
tobi will somehow become the 10 tail host. but naruto 9 tail power alone will not be enough. and they is no other ninja who powerful enough to team up with him to take tobi out. and thats were sasuke make hes epic join with the rinegan. and every village will see sasuke as a hero as naruto.
they will forget sasuke action cause they want piece and if they dont forget sasuke action after what he did, then that mean they cant never find piece cause that holding grouches. also they cant never forget what each village did to other village.
