Hmmmm... dunno if this was coined earlier. I know some people saw a slight resemblance between the leader of the Vandenreich and Ishinn. I however immediately saw more resemblance with Kyoraku, and now the latter's face was covered, hiding his expression completely. What if Kyoraku had a brother/family member who led the quincy long ago in the previous war? And that same person survived to secretly build the empire again from the ground up in another dimension, waiting for the right time to strike SS?

Yammamoto's reaction was my favourite thing this chapter. The guys' eyes looked like they were about to pop out of his head LOL! Though he does have a point. These new villains so far have sported a very viscous and underhanded approach to their work I wouldn't be surprised if Yammamoto was on spot this time. I was also a bit surprised when Mayuri thanked his underling, perhaps after his fight with Ishida during the soul society arc he became a little more humil with his subordinates (doupt it though). Probabbly he just respects akon a little more (emphasis on a little) than his other subordinates.

How come they don't know where the quincy base is? I thought the tag that they gave Ichigo was supposed to keep an eye on him.

yamamot's rage was just epic. he was planning to attack the enemy without even knowing the deatails. the other captains knew they couldn't calm him down,so agreed with him

Ichigo is in Hueco Mundo.
The Vandenreich castle is in another "place".
But it's still strange that no one mentioned that.
I'd expect SS to wonder why Ichigo is there.

Yosh! Called it! Quincy battle time, I'm so excited! So look, the three Arrancar that were so hard for the captains to defeat in the battle with Aizen, were effortlessly whipped out by a single Quincy; I think that revokes any previous claims to the Quincy being weak. After all, if they were weak, then their battle with the soul reapers wouldn't have been called a war, but a slaughter. I can't wait to see Ichigo kick his ass, though I hope its a tough battle that draws out a lot of Ichigo's power so we can see how much he has retained from his former self; at any rate, Bleach would get boring if all the battles where too easy. You would think that Kisake would have informed the soul society of the whereabouts of their base though... troubling. This completely justifies the King's personally towards the hollows, after all, why would you spare second thought to, or harbor regret for, killing the very thing you're organization was created to kill? Once again, does this have historical ramifications? Undoubtedly, they are not Natzi's, however I feel they are very much so the Bleach parallel of such. I'm sure there is no need to list the connections that have implicate this, as they are easily enough drawn out.

that's right, do they not possess the ability to track his whereabouts through his combat pass? Perhaps that is not constantly monitored?

Seeing this Quincy captain in action really helps to reveal just how much of a novice Ishida is, can't wait to see what his father is really capable of if he is ever shown in a fight.

That's to be expected though, right? I mean, I doubt there was enough time and resources for his grandfather to give him proper and complete training, especially since his father didn't give his consent; and its not like he is part of VanderReich, so he has no other Quincy's to practice and compete with, rivals are part of growth after all. I wonder however, if Ishida senior is connected to VanderReich, who will he side with, and will he force his son to follow him?

it was very good seeing kyoraku and ukitake's sadness. I bet it's due to their long-standing friend sasakibe's death. byakuya said that yamamoto's feelings coulnd't be understood,but I think kyoraku and ukitake are very sad too.

The chapter ended with the captain of the Iacto Arme smiling arrogantly, but he will probably flee next chapter when he finds out the shinigami is Ichigo.

Very violent chapter by the way. It had been a while since the last head explosion.

He took them down without even affording them that opportunity, they simply did not have the chance. They're vice captain level at the very least and it would take a fairly skilled captain level shinigami to take them all out so soundly.

Don't confuse powerful with being intellegent. Just because he wasn't affected by PIS doesn't mean he is some powerhouse.Anybody else that would be smart enough to take them out before their release would be have no problem at all. They aren't strong. Matsumoto was holding them off and she isn't even a high lvl VC. We didn't see the battle so for all we know he just tricked them into fighting each other or making mistakes. Also its possible that quincys some how affect arrancar too so who knows.

They where flung all over piles of rubble and bleeding profusely, I think it's quite safe to assume that this man packs a punch.
