If bears shit where they live, does that mean they're the type who can't shit in any other place but where they live? Like, even if they're out in some other bear's place and they absolutely have to go, they really can't because an inner voice is telling them "this is not where you live"?

No there aren't. A veterinarian is a veterinarian. Obviously most have specialties, some in the typical domestic animals - cats/dogs/birds/reptiles. Some have aquatic specialties, equine specialties, bovine in the case of livestock. There are certainly those with more experience with wild/captive animals and work at zoos. I suppose there could be someone with an ursine specialty, would be pretty rare though.
