Not exactly true though, it's more like a nickname than anything. Just like Menton in France get a nickname as "France's Pearl" or anything like that. The city is quite small, but it has a lot of universities and intellectuals scattered around the town, so I guess that's where the nickname came from. FYI, many Europeans (and Africans) come to Yogyakarta; France, Germans, British.. since it is also the main tourist attraction besides Bali, in Indonesia.

Coincidentally Yogya is also the place where I mostly spend my life for the last 3 years, as a college student.. I made friends with several French guys, but mostly they came from Toulouse.

Nah, you need a HTML code. Easy to find via google, but I copied his instead and used the white color code. The white + silver border one was a HTML code for a picture, so I made it in PS.
