Tell me how robbing someone's grave and stealing their soul from the afterlife is not despicable? :P We know nothing about Tobirama aside from the flashback where he appointed Sarutobi as Hokage.

So yes I am sure Kishi may explain the roots if he sees fit but the way I see it is that this type of thing is ever present in the ninja system and its part of the reason so much hate exists. Ninjas will always kill and destroy in the name of their own morals despite the feelings of others. Hence the circle of hate that Naruto is attempting to break.

You don't have to rob a grave to obtain DNA- you only need a bit of blood. The summoned can presumably return to the afterlife at any time under Tobirama's version of the jutsu, since he doesn't bind their will to his own like Oro and Kabuto do/can do, so it's more like 'borrowing' their soul from the afterlife.

We've just got different definitions of evil. Something like the kinjutsu that Kakuzu stole from the Waterfall village is closer to being completely evil than ET (at least Tobirama's version).

how can u know how tobirama's version works? what if summoned person doesnt listen to him or starts atacking Tobirama ?

I'm too lazy to scour the manga for where it was said, but IIRC Oro or Kabuto mentioned that the kunai seal that overwrites the summon's will with the summoner's was an addition of Orochimaru. I think it was possible for ET summons to attack Tobirama because of the former point, but I can't cite the manga page >_>

in fact, we don't know that,but the seals which overwhelmed the zombies' mind were created by oro. I think the zombies couldn't ttack tobirama unless he summoned someone who hated him.btw,tobirama should have been able to control them nonetheless.

Tobirama probably never used the technique, but he developed it and knew it worked. I mean the cost alone makes it evil by definition. You need a living body to basically sacrifice in exchange for bringing back the dead.

But you gotta think in Tobirama's day that may have been perfectly acceptable. With Danzou introduced as well its showing the true dark side to the ninja world and it is what Naruto is trying to change. Even the good guys have their dark sides.

kishi showed to us that kabuto is the only ninja after jiraya and naruto to obtained sennin-mode (in the manga, it could be more) and gave him, all these power up as ET,sennin mode ala orochimaru's way but even stronger as kabuto said, i surpassed lord orochimaru but now kabuto is having flash back of his past and origIn AND WE KNOW what happened with ninjas that had a flashback while facing a strong opponent, they die after that but i still don't believe that kabuto will get kill, kabuto will get really wound, close to dead and escape while ET is going to be cancel or itachi's izanami is going to change kabuto's destiny but i think he will survive and after a while he will be sasuke's toy to showed his true power after mastering his EMS before the real fight against tobi or naruto and that depend which path sasuke's will take, if he take itachi's will or still in destroying konoha..

if that was the case both Madara and Muu wouldnt be able to instantly recognize the jutsu by name and function. in any case Tobirama may have had a justifiable reason to develop edo tenset but by the very nature of the jutsu being a prevision of life and death, that kinda sours any good that may come out of using it.

but its kinda right up there with killing your best friend to upgrade your eyes and sealing a bijuu inside of kids, on the list of things that are morally questionable

It is possible that during the Ninja Great Wars Tobirama might have used it.. I mean that was basically the purpose of developing jutsus... I believe that Tobirama just summoned Konoha Nins or Nins that didn't have a grudge against him or any of his allies... To answer the question about Tobirama being attacked by his own summons: Tobirama was the creator of the jutsu so of course he knows how to stop it.. So maybe when things were getting dangerous he would just cancel the jutsu...

Tobirama might have been one of the good guys but to say that he never used Edo Tensei would be stretching things out... He developed that jutsu for a reason and I'm thinking it was for the safety of the Senju Clan... To create an Immortal army would save alot of Senju lives... And I believe that is why Tobirama created Edo Tensei...

well,in the current war,we have been seeing so many characters who already knew what kind of technique it was. chiyo,gari,kinkaku and ginkaku ecc. the only thing I wonder about is the following: who could tobirama have summoned? I think he summoned some strong ninjas,not strong enough to be compared to those we have seen,though. I also wonder whether the enemy sealed them or if tobirama released them by himself.
