This has to be the most content-filled, small-panelled chapter I've read in a long while. It even looked a little like Bakuman in some pages.

Ok, another thing I just noticed on the whole quincy weapon thing. That Oppie guy actually combines his sword and his quincy cross thing to make his weapon. Is the sword special? Or is it just some sword? If it is just some sword then perhaps the more advanced quincy techniques are a combination of fullbring (as a quincy would be a human) and the quincy bow? It would be interesting to see ishida developing a fullbring and combining it with quincy techniques to say the least, it would add something to his fighting style. I wonder if the whole sealing/stealing of bankais has a part in this.

Another thing on which I did not comment was the fact that ichigo being in HM would be enough to trigger the war. Does that make sense? SS still has 13 captains and the rest of the guys out there would seem to be more than willing to help if necessary yet ichigo being in HM was the trigger for everything. I guess if ichigo had the power he had against aizen such a measure would be justified however it does not seem to be the case right now.

I thought yamamoto was so old that he became captain commander 1000 years ago,and then he founded the academy where ukitake,sasakibe and kyoraku trained. but how can mayuri know about that? he can't be older than kyoraku!

That does look like Zangetsu, lol...what if it was in his image Ichigo's sword was created...which is why the Quincy have problems with Ichigo.

I think it's perfect timing because of the fact they have trouble with Ichigo. They seem to have a way to take away a Bankai, except Ichi. Also Ichi is fairly strong and an anomaly in SS, HM and the real world...One thing the Quincy might have trouble with are the Viziards.

No WAY! I can't believe that no one has even so much as tried to put on A SANDAL in the Districts after 59. Bullshit Kubo. I can't even believe Soul Society keeps records of that information. This has just shocked my world. I think I am going to read it again. WE SHOULD ALL READ IT AGAIN

Yeah, I was thinking about that too lol. I mean, why would they keep statistics on sandal wearing? I guess it is not unfathomable that they would (its not like they just killed thousands of people and no one noticed) however it does seem unlikely. Maybe clothes are just THAT limited in SS so they would actually know what people in each district wears(sounds like communism but whatever)?

Well, SS does keep records of stuff (like the fact that sasakibe mastered bankai before kyoraku and ukitake -but apparently not before unohana- and no one ever suspected it). It is entirely possible that mayuri had access to records from the past and simply went through them. Another important detail is whether this happened 1000 years ago. In the early chapters the quincy war took place 100 years before, not 1000. The alternative is that this is the third quincy war or sorts.

I would argue he is a quincy although the fact that he has lived so long is disturbing.

As for the guys relevance, I think the king is going to be related to ichigo and ishin. He looks a lot like ishin and it is disturbing enough that he is almost identical to zangetsu even to the point where their clothes are similar. If he turned out to be ishin's brother it would result in an interesting dynamic as quincy and shinigami are supposed to be opposites (white cloths who use external power to fight at a range against black clothes who use internal power to fight melee). It would add more to the mystique behind ichigo's and ishin's power (which is abnormal to say the least).

Wow Mayuri is still a complete sicko as expected. I thought the Vandenreich were behind the disappearances, that was a good twist. It looks like Kirge was about to change his sword into a bow before it cut to Yama and Mayuri. I liked this chapter the best again today.

Ok. I would actually say that manga stated through Rukia, that not even so many Catain-class Shinigami could destroy the dimention and Yukio was also surprised, when Ichi managed to destroy it, while you don't even try to bring any evidence.
Of course they went after seeing Ichigo's resolve to fight Ginjou, because they were ordered to fight not only Ginjou, but also Ichi if he teamed up with Ginjou. Still, basically I don't by the posibility of those Captains being any threat to Ginjou as none of them individually couldn't take Tsukishima without being injured, while Ginjou after getting Ichi's Fullbring that was merged with his small part of Shinigami powers got seriously stronger, than he was before and also gained Ichigo's abilities like Getsuga...

The captains didn't even use bankais, save for Byakuya, even though his "bankai" was nothing close to what we've seen before. And we don't know if they had limiters on or not.

From what Ichigo has shown, I just don't believe he's above his level against Gin. He hasn't used the mask yet, so he may be stronger with it, but maybe he can't use it anymore.

You can't expect Ichigo to be on his Aizen level. That would mean that Star Knights, if we're assuming they're the new Espada, will have no chance at all, that NO ONE except for the Quincy King will have any chance. We know Ichigo most likely won't lose any fights, but it's completely out of logic if he doesn't have any problems in his fights. The excitement would be gone.

Plus he won't go all out right from the start ;D

Your right, we should all read it again. Kira explained that it was suspicious to see sandals mixed in with naked footsteps outside of district 50 because after district 50 there is a huge decline in living standards, implying people can't even afford shoes. Poverty isn't exactly fictional either. There are places in the real world which are so poor people can't afford shoes.

Well, since this arc is known as 1,000 Years Blood War, it won't be a mistake or anything. It's likely that it is 3rd war, or maybe this Buckbeard is actually not the same Quincy as others and the history from 1,000 years ago is only about him.

Talking about the thing that he didn't get as much power as he had, before loosing it... I don't agree. Remember, how many Shinigami had to share their Reiatsu to restore Ichigo's powers even though it might be not that much from each of them, but still: all the Captains, including Yama, Isshin, Youruichi, Urahara, all Vice-Captains and some others and also Vaizards... When before from just one Rukia he got power capable to fight against Vice Captain from get-go.

Also talking about "Gin fight"... Seriously. After getting new mask Ichigo already got more than twice Captain Reiatsu, so his only problem against Gin or base Aizen in Karakura town was his bad usage of his Bankai and Hollow powers, hence he couldn't make a good performance and even though the wound he inflicted on Aizen was quite enough to get him out of the game if not for Hougioku. After Dangai he just finally managed to use all his potential, nothing more. There wasn't any type of magic. It was his Bankai's power merged with his Hollow power.

It's been a while since I felt the need to post anything.
My thoughts on the chapters:

I love the new turn of events. Amazing how easy it was to forget what we already knew about the shinigami, especially Mayuri:
They have a TON of secrets, and they're actually really shady people. The Gotei 13 is an old organization, and as such, I think there is a lot more for us to worry about that we don't know yet.

Somehow the fact that Mayuri's atrocities against the Quincy were forgotten (not forgotten, but pushed to the back of my mind) is incredible, and for Kubo to bring that back to light is pretty smart.

And, of course, I'm super interested in what these Vandenreich actually are. Yeah, they're Quincy, but what else?

Aaaand, who is the head Vandenreich leader and what's his connection with Yamamoto? I think he's a shinigami, but we'll see.

I HAVE A THEORY!

Even though I like kisuke urahara I am starting to think that he might be a mastermind in all of this. Think about it he gave ichigo hollow powers always know what is going on, always have a solution to things. He is always involved in the main plot someway somehow. Now the main reason why I suspect him is because remember that Mayuri was a prisoner before and he was considered the most dangerous person imprisoned and Kisuke went on and freed him for unknown reasons. So maybe Kisuke got him so he could work on soul society from the inside while he works on it from the outside. I dont know is just a theory I would much rather believe kisuke is a good guy I like the guy afterall.

But what do you guys think

If his powers are in the state where they are merged, then he won't use his mask anymore, I know that. I'm not sure whether his powers are still merged though. We don't know what happened to his powers after he used FGT.
I'm not discarding what you're saying, but looking at things from manga-logic side, Ichigo is most probably weaker than during his fight against Aizen, for whatever reasons.

Or, I'm inclined to think that he can summon his Aizen-fight power when he wants, but I can't expect him to do that just like that. Yamamoto. Kyoraku. Uki. Unohana. They have most likely the same amount of power, yet they didn't use it even in the whole Aizen madness. Ichigo might have picked up this habit.
