Against Kakuzu, all Ino did was run around and hide. Against Asuma, she actually fought and was preforming better then Chouji, even rescuing him.

she was rescued by shikamaru, though. anyway, fodders are fodders,so I don't care if she improved a bit, that fight sucks, imo. but as I already said, that's just my opinion,I understand you when you say that's not your line.

If the war could count as one big fight... then that would be my answer...

My personal worst... Tobi v. Konan... not for lack of action... but 600 Billion Bombs, and you still can't kill that bastard... even stupider is that she didn't have to use the bombs that quickly...you should at least save a few billion in case he doesn't die... plot driven like a mofo... she had more fire power and longetivity than Deidara... yet she blows it in a 10 minute frame... despite the fact that this many bombs going off in that short amount of time would have wiped out most of her country, barring realism, it still was a stupid loss... and it was the first Genjutsu death in the entire series... i am getting pissed about just typing
I have an opinionDon't hate me for it...

    Hindered trying to protect allies

Well, I guess I don't HATE them. I just hate the outcome because there's rarely any full on evidence of superiority between the characters. Though if we're being specific, I wasn't a fan of the Naruto vs. Kakuzu fight. This was the fight where Naruto "surpassed" Kakashi? The fight where he took out an opponent who'd already lost the majority of his strength and had one foot in the grave? And he won the fight with a basic bait-and-switch, the exact god damn move anyone that knows how to use KB can perform. But THIS makes him superior to a genius armed with 1000 jutsu and an infinitely higher intellect? Whatever.
I think Kakashi was more amazed with how fast Naruto came up with the new plan rather than the fact that he came up with a plan.

I can't decide which fight from the war was the most disappointing so far. The best would have to be Kakashi vs. Zabuza, the rest were just boring or had bad ending.

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

While the fight was spectacular, the Sasuke vs Deidara ending was plain and simple BS.

    A disappointing fight?
Mmh... Naruto, Bee and Itachi vs Nagato. A mind-blowing apocalyptic battle transformed in the greatest wank in history.
While I intimately believe that Kishi loves to draw Uchihas and Sharingan, imho he receives an orgasm whenever he draws Itachi. I mean, seriously? That fight trashed Naruto, Bee and Nagato.
    Badly

actually, nagato was the one who annihilated both naruto and bee, whereas itachi could just interfer when the jins were about to be defeated. that fight built up a lot of good things, imo. also, shisui's koto amatsukami was the reason behind itachi's victory. I really liked that fight, because it wasn't just a fight but many plot twists were involved.

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

Was it Nagato, or Kabuto that annihilated both Naruto and Bee? Not only did Kishimoto drop the "I gave Nagato the Rin'negan," bomb on us, He also showed Nagato at his most powerful while being controled by someone else. What Kinda crap is that? Even in death the guy was someone else's toy. The only freakin time he made a decision for himself, was when he revived Konoha. Even that came off making him look like a flippin follower. Koto-Amatsukami may have been the reason for Itachi's victory, but it was his plan in the first place. Naruto was made to look special, special Fred kind of special, and Bee got caught trying to get his ass outta the fire. The only person, in my opinion that deserves a pass in that one was Bee. For the sole purpose of giving Itachi room to tell Naruto about himself, Naruto's made to look like an asshole again by acting like he can handle things after getting his ass saved.

The way it was handled made it seem like it was mostly to hype Itachi. Yes, Naruto learned a lesson. However, just like all the lessons Naruto has learned he conveniently forgets them when the plot calls for it.
And then they all died, the end!

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

well the nagato vs itachi/naruto and bee. only show that back then if nagato did want to kill naruto he could in hes form cause he could kick ass as hes state were we tough that he was not capable of doing a thing. but we was wrong.

the only bad thing about about that fight was naruto holding hes soul from the mouth of the soul. really. BS cause once that thing start to get out. ur body become paralyze and they is noting u can do. but this was all BS in my opinion.
dont ask me the first two reason why i read and watch, ONEPIECE & NARUTO

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

The chakra was independent of Naruto actually moving his body. That was showcased here, and here. So....

My point is that Nagato got dissed in the sense that not only were the eyes that make him so strong not his original, He was at his strongest when he wasn't even in control of himself. He was someone else's bitch in life and death. That's fucked up. Kishimoto made it worse by hinting that the eyes original belonged to Madara, or Izuna however you wanna see it. Which means that his character can't get credit for much of anything.
And then they all died, the end!

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

Nagato didn't get dissed in that fight. He's been a noob blessed with powerful eyes since the beginning. He has never been shown to be all that skillful or tactful. Just somebody with mind blowing powers.

Anyways, any fight featuring Naruto in part II takes the cake for me. I know exactly how each one of them goes down before I even read it. Make clones and rush in with rasengan. Fails, gets beat up and has some will of bullshit epiphany in which he magically gets restored to full life and chakra. Then he make more clones and rushes in for rasengan, but succeeds this time because his opponents becomes confused or just plain retarded. Actually, his fight with Pain is pretty good until the ending. Ugh, that ending was so dumb.

Re: Most disappointing fight in naruto and why?

    Sasuke vs Orochimaru hands down.
Not because I think that the fight was necessarily bad (it wasn't good), but because it made room for Tobi to become the main bad guy in the story. Orochimaru is FAR FAR superior in terms of being a main villain than Tobi (who is incredibly bland in my opinion).
I would rather that Sasuke had escaped, whilst Orochimaru was sick, to go after Itachi - or anything else that would leave an enraged (he has just lost his precious replacement body) Orochimaru that has to change his plans.
In fact, I would have rather had anything other than Tobi (the mysterious mystery...) as the main villain. The story took a huge hit following Orochimaru's, and then even more noticeably with Itachi's death, where Tobi gained more and more screen time.
    Infinite RAGE!

Any Edo fight that didn't involve Naruto or Itachi. Seriously, that Samurai vs the Salamander fight left MUCH to be desired.

I agree, kishi could have made them last more, but it would have required 20 volumes. these fights were needed to explain how hanzo and others died, imo.

As for most disappointing fight? A lot of them really. I love strategic fights, and we rarely see any of them now. It's about who has the biggest hax now.
    exactly
Why Tobi can't be Obito (or Rin):

    Year 0 for our purposes:
We know that Madara and Tobi knew each other (confirmed by Kishi) and gave Madara's Rinnegan to Nagato.
    Year 5:
    J-Man trains Nagato
    Year 10:
Obito is born.Tobi might be using Obito's eye but that is improbable since it would most likely be MS technique BUT considering how much he's been using it he would be blind by now. Itachi used it very sporadically and was blind, same Sasuke-Tobi is spamming it for 17 years and is OK?
