yeah...next chapter will probably do more flashback. And end with, "Ok Kabuto, here comes Izanami"

I sure hope Kabuto doesn't get defeated, it doesn't make sense. These flashbacks still don't do it for me and are kinda 'bleh' It's mostly stuff we already know, but what's the overall point? I don't really get it?

Make us feel sad because he is about to be defeated? Or make him come with resurgence and defeat the Uchiha bros? In two chapters we'll know...

The flashback was more interesting this week, because it was centered mostly around Orochimaru, but I still hope it ends so we can finally be done with Kabuto. I never cared for Kabuto, the only thing interesting about him was that he was Orochimaru's henchman and I'm extremely disappointed that Orochimaru's DNA didn't manage to over power him, I thought we were finally going to get Orochimaru back in the story after Kishi trolled us during Sasuke and Itachi's fight.

you, sir, are a genious!I didn't notice that,but if we think about that,there was sasuke with oro in white snake mode behind him,it was an hint for the chronology,that is it happened after orochimaru's defeat. so that's how kabuto implanted oro's body in himself.the snake is even clearly visible on that machine http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/584/16

Maybe most of the jinchuuriki, if trained properly since birth. It's not like the world only consists of the 5+1 known countries + dozens of smaller villages, even if Kishi most often reduces it to that by making the Sage of Six Paths a minor world shaper.

I'm quite sure that this is all leading up to Izanami pulling a big "redo" on Kabuto's destiny. However, I'm seeing a lot of information that makes me REALLY wonder whether or not this is going to lead to a resurrection of Orochimaru. Let's be honest. Orochimaru got jobbed. He lost to Sauske when he was on the verge of death, and then got WTF one-panelled by Itachi. For the guy that was "THE" main bad guy for half the manga, it just really came off quite badly. Orochimaru never got the final battle he deserved. Sauske is essentially right. Kabuto is just the leftover crap from Orochimaru. Shouldn't this fight really BE with Orochimaru and not with Kabuto?

I think he's toast guys seriously how many times can these snake apprentices escape death. orochimaru countless times, now kabuto? what else could he add to the story?

The theory about the whole flashback being Izanami's effect altering Kabuto's past is kinda interesting.

That would be a possibility.. As we know Orochimaru researched about the Shodaime Hokage.. We have proof of that when we saw Danzo's right shoulder... It wouldn't be too far a stretch to say that it is Hashirama's DNA..

I don't think we have any idea what Izanami can do or why. However, I think it will involve some sort of demonic summon that pretty much has a scroll or something that determines Kabuto's destiny line. Next, Kabuto's destiny lines are altered to permit Kabuto to walk a separate path or perish on the path he is presently on. Itachi will re-write Kabuto's fate to be defeated by the Uchiha's and to cancel Edo Tensei. Ultimately, I believe Kabuto will try to defy the fate that Itachi and Sasuke will inevitably defeat Kabuto. Whereas if Kabuto accepted his limits and his fate, he would be safe to walk an alternative destiny (ex. founding an orphanage for all the orphans that will result from this war). This would be in line with the general theme of the volume, which started with Itachi explaining to Sasuke, "Not just indications guide you on your path."

I think we can go back to the beginning of this volume http://www.mangareader.net/naruto/576/11 and find out the true power of Izanami by inference. How is that for a theory?[/SIZE]
