Why the Kyuubi-mode looks as it is.

yin is form, yang is life

yin is used in genjutsu and the forming of various ninjutsu
yang breathes life/energy into those ninjutsu, and support basic bodily functions like recovery and stamina

kyuubi had his yin chakra sealed in minato (form) and yang in naruto. his soul was split into two, and the yin half is currently entangled with minato's soul in eternal combat inside the death god's realm, as we last heard]

so if yin is form , and yin chakra is with minato , shouldnt the kyuubi be formless ? or at least be a ghost kyuubi lol or it shouldnt be able to use chakra ? and if yang is life/energy , does it make it immortal since it regenerates and thus making naruto having a super long life span with uzumaki blood and can yang chakra regenerate yin chakra? o.0

That's why my theory addresses the ethereal form that's unique to the kyuubi in bijuu mode. i believe there's a source of yin chakra: naruto's. but his yin chakra shouldn't be sufficient to support the entire kyuubi's form, so it is semi tangible

and to your further questions, yea those were the questions raised in the original post and the previous posts.

naruto always had an excess of yang chakra with the yang-half of kyuubi sealed in him, which is why he could heal from ridiculous injuries in the past (punctured right lung in seconds, etc)

given the kyuubi was disrupting his chakra use and absorbing a significant quantity of it all the while, now that they're friends i think we should be able to expect some changes as well. naruto's uzumaki heritage should shine through, and his past 16 years of living with such chakra sapping 24/7 would likely have trained his already-gifted chakra levels further.

i wouldn't be surprised to see the kyuubi being ripped out of naruto some day, and kyuubiless naruto proving to be the next hashirama just as sasuke will inherit madara's stance
