it is also on his neck,hair and shirt...even when he's emerging from the corpse there's water splatter(looks more like slime/snot).it's not tears...the last thing this guy would do is cry...did you see his flashback...he stopped crying years ago(about his life and situation).

Kishimoto wrote on the left part of that last panel (where kabuto is shown with tears): "A sad resolve!"
Stop arguing, they are tears.

Everything kabuto did until now, is out of sadness because he doesnt know who he is.
It is absolutely logical that he becomes sad again if Itachi tells him that the identity he has chosen for himself (the sum of all things he has discovered with orochimaru and beyond) is not really his identity.

It even makes perfect sense with what he is saying in the last panel, stop being oblivious to the fact that he is crying, because he is.

Sadness doesn't automatically translate to crying.

And "Sad Resolve" isn't the only translation out there... I've also seen it translated as "Tragic Determination" and others.

And no, its not logical that Itachi's words would make him cry... angry, yes, maybe even sad, but certainly not to the point of breaking out in tears, thats completely out of character.

I could imagine him to shed some tears if he gets beaten, has his ambitions shattered and realizes his mistakes, but certainly not through some spoken mockery. He's been through way too much already to get seriously hurt by something like that.

Ok Good point after rereding it several times I see that Kabuto was crying, I created a discussion long time ago about power of tears - I was assuming that it also has some power, like when Sakura dropped a tear on Sasuke he became alive at the Naruto bridge battle, when Tsunade dropped the tear on Naruto he also became alive and so on... I see tears have positive meaning, maybe in this case - will it make Kabuto positive character, not sure if he has any friends, but ET zombies he can program them to be his friends, do you think it might be possible for Kabuto to turn good?

Because he liquefied and left his skin behind. Thats also the reason why he collapses a panel later.

Because his snake corneas are still closed and there's some water running over his face, including his eyes? He's wet everywhere, not just his eye sockets.

Just dunk your head into a bucket of water and then look into the mirror if you have so much trouble comprehending that.

kabuto may become good and try to reprogram all ets, but he may fail programming madara. then madara will be freed from kabuto's control. after finishing the kages madara will rush to tobi's side, then he will crush tobi by saying " you are pathetic, i do not need you anymore, you failed bringing me back but thanks to four eyed snake i am more powerful than before", then he will take gedo mezo for himself. he will leave naruto and bee alive, challenging the survivors to stop him before he revives jyuubi. we will get chapters of countdown to the end chapters. bee, naruto, uchiha brothers, tobi and kabuto will form a united front against madara.

since all kages are defeated by madara, kage positions becomes empty. those positions are filled by bee,naruto, sasuke, tobi and kabuto. i did not include itachi because he is officially dead. or kabuto may lead sound village

you have a great imagination but i can't see tobi teaming up with naruto and co after all these time lol. i will believe, tobi will go to ET madara's side as plan..

this fight uchihas vs kabumaru is little weird because kishi showed that itachi will stop edo tensei with izanami and sasuke's help but at the same time is giving kabuto alot power before he get kill?...
i don't know if kabuto is going to get kill but itachi will definitely stop ET before ET madara kill the five kages
and i hope kabuto will escape from the uchihas, kabuto could be close to die but he will escape for a while until sasuke amaterasu his ass..

Why does it disappoint you? We've seen Itachi be affected by genjutsu before, Sasuke's and Kurenai's to name two. Manga itself has shown no one is immune to genjutsu. Killerbee, Danzou, Itachi, Zabuza... all were affected by genjutsu. Honestly, it's like being disappointed that base Naruto can get hurt.


I don't think Kabuto was crying, to be honest. It's probably related to his technique or what he's about to do.

i think next chapter will focus on izanami and it will be explained, and i think edo may end next chapter or the following but somehow madara wont be affected. i can see kabuto making muu the main summoner so when he gets sealed away it will be impossible for madara to be desummoned or something. i just think it will be that easy for madara to get desummoned without him being beat.

Why would Kabuto cry? Not only is that weird for him, but it's just out of the blue, despite what Itachi said. That won't make Kabuto cry, considering he's had to kill his foster mom and lose Orochimaru.

I totally see Itachi trolling Sasuke. He already knows that Sasuke's gonna go destroy Konoha regardless of what Itachi himself has stated (which is totally illogical in my book; he wants revenge for Itachi yet Itachi himself says that it's wrong and he's the one at fault for everything, etc.). Why do I see Itachi trolling? Because when Edo Tensei is cancelled, goodbye Itachi. He's gonna be unsummoned before he can tell Sasuke anything else, like "the truth" and whatnot. Then Sasuke's gonna kill Kabuto while he's still entranced in Izanami.

I'm sorry, and I'm not sure why I'm getting all rung up about this, but I am appalled. Nothing happened to his skin in the second to last page. You don't understand the context for why he would cry, that is your main problem. Just read the previous pages, including his flashback, and fury when Itachi was questioning and mocking him.

As for the last panels, I will only give you this: they are questionable. But I am still to my ground that he is crying and why that surprises anyone, in Naruto, is beyond me.

Well people really want some emotional part of kabuto I guess, it seems weird that he would cry right now. But even if he did, it doesn't make much difference at this point. All i want to see is Itachi casting the jutsu. Kishi stalled it for two chapters now hopefully we will see it next chapter.
