I am glad we are getting to see how this guy fares against Allon. Allon is basically midway between a regular VC and the weakest current captain level.
And I agree with others. So happy bankai is not being used so quickly!

I think it is good to see kubo use old characters rather than create new ones and trying to develop them.

My thoughts:

I think the whole "negating/stealing bankai" comes from quincies breaking down spirit particles of bankais then "stealing" it in order to increase their own powers. Thus effectively "stealing" bankai powers.

However, I believe this ability only works against spirit particles weaker than the user's base powers. For example, when ishida used his final form, Mayuri's bankai was not broken and absorbed. this is most likely due to the fact that ishida's base SP is lower than mayuri's SP.

Ideas/Feedbacks?

the bankai stealing seems to be done with a special item not with just their spirit particle absorbing powers though.

Come on guys, we all know that the one who'll be kicking Kirge's ass is the Jow. This Nazi wannabe was created for the sole purpose of stablishing Grimmjow's new power level, I tell ya.

You all know that he's just a few chapters ahead, and that his new resurreccion is gonna look sick good (or at least better than the previous one).

On the other hand, I can't believe Kubo went with Stern Ritter when Sternenritter sounds so much better.

Now that you mention it, Ichigo's bankai WAS breaking down into particles during his battle against Ivan.

I'm curious how Ayon will fare against Kirge, its punch did more damage than Ichigo's point-blank GT and zanpakuto attack. Kirge was caught off-guard against Ayon though. It seems Kirge didn't tank the full power of GT, apparently Ichigo missed his target but Kirge says it wouldn't work anyway. I doubt Kirge absorbed GT though, can quincies absorb reishi at such a quick rate? That would make all energy attacks useless against them, Ichigo's GT is pretty powerful even in his shikai form.

I guess nobody expects Ayon to defeat Kirge, it will probably buy some time before Ichigo goes bankai and finish Kirge off. Defeating the enemy with shikai would be a refreshing change but enemies are too powerful at this point. If Ayon hadn't destroyed the condensed reishi at the tip of Kirge's sword, this attack might have injured Ichigo pretty badly. The captains in SS will not have the luxury to use their bankai but I don't think star knights will use their holy form either.

I was hoping Chad might help Ichigo but he is sitting on the sidelines. It's understandable though, they all thought Ichigo could defeat the enemy by himself as it was the case against Ivan. Inoue's techniques seem to be useless against them but she rarely fights anyway. Inoue doesn't sense Kirge's reiatsu which reminded me of Aizen's words when he fought Ichigo. Aizen (wrongly) thought Ichigo had traded his reiatsu for brute force, I wonder if this is what Kirge is doing. As far as we know, quincies don't have hierro, how did Kirge tank Zangetsu's slash? One thing is certain, Kenpachi will enjoy fighting them.

Maybe these quincies who appeared are the reason Ryuken doesn't like to use his powers. Maybe there's some kind of internal quincy feud and Ishida's family are like the Kuchiki's of the Quincy world...nobles who after Ishida's grandfather died and Ryuken didn't want to take over, a different faction rose to lead the Quincies...who knows....

yea i had high hopes for ishida after he lost his powers, being the technically the second strongest among the karakura gang, i was disapointed that he fared so badly against szayel, cant wait for ishida's character development in this arc, havent been so excited since the introduction of the espada.

about the feud between the ishida family and vanderreich, there must be some catch to acquiring quincy volstandig, why else wouldnt ryuken accept the power??
im actaully hoping ishida will acquire this "volstandig" or some equivalent beastly power up, its like all this while he's been tossed aside for being too weak to take on anyone, even the fullbringers.

i'm thinkin it might end up the other way where natural growth of power ends up stronger, for example Ichigo's naturally gained power vs Aizen's scientifically created power...natural vs manufactured type thing

it'll be a rpide thing where the Ishida side proves that this faction doesnt 'fully understand' the depth of Quincy power and are using the shortcut, i agree with others it there probably must be a catch to Vollstanding like The HG eventually taking over Aizen

i wish more than anything for grimmjow to come back, further evidenced by the rare occurence of ichigo not goin bankai yet! and after he beats the crap out of this angel douche he challenges ichigo to a rematch and beats him down.

I think Kirge may have absorbed it and tanked the blade hit.

is the getsuga made of reishi too? I thought it was just an explosion or a great slice created by the blade itself. regardless of whether it was the former or the latter, I think it wasn't ichigo's fault but kirge's new form.

GT is made by concentrated reiatsu in the tip of the blade, basically reishi. I think kirge actually dodged that though. Didn't he tell ichigo that he should aim better? Wouldn't that imply that kirge hasn't been hit by GT? Considering he was at point blank, I doubt it is possible ichigo could have missed so I think the guy simply moved away and returned at the tip of ichigo's blade.

or probably that new form allows him to have stronger parts. I mean,what if the neck is protected by a kind of shield,whereas there's another part weaker?

I don't know about him moving out the way. If he had, wouldn't he not have taken any damage? Given the range he was shown absorbing reishi from, I think it's possible that Kirge absorbed most of it before the swing fully hit him.

Ivan was a hollow, not a quincy. So maybe an item was needed for him but not the quincies
