Untranslated Japanese Manga here in the U.S.

Hi to all,
I am a total newbie to the world of Manga and I was wanting to ask a question. Just how available are untranslated issues of Japanese Manga here in the United States in the Japanese language? I was wanting to see if maybe I could scrounge up some issues to see if I could translate them from Japanese into English myself for fun.

You won't find very many. Best import in bulk through Amazon's Japanese branch or something.

I think usually people buy them online, places like yesasia and bk1.co.jp but you can also get them at Kinokuniya stores. Obviously, the vast majority of manga is untranslated. Mostly just popular things or things translators or scanlations groups are interested in get scanlated.
