So the ranker did go after Baam despite being told not to. Not that huge of a surprise. Hopefully Baam will finish him in the next chapter . I wonder what will happen tot he test then.

It seems that RapDevil is dead, and we don't even get to know who done it. Makes me wonder about what we'll get to see in the next chapter. With the cliffhanger ending I'm looking forward to Viole VS Love, but I can imagine getting instead a flashback to what happen to RapDevil. We might also not find out for some time and left to wonder for several chapter. We'll see and therefore once again I'm left already waiting for next week chapter.

i´ve got just one question
if baam was really the one, who beat up rapdevil
was it because
1. he sees hatsu still as his friend and wanted to somehow avenge him and maybe told him, not to go around boasting that he beat up that hatsu
2. he wanted to measure himself somehow with hatsu, who he maybe saw as someone superiar pretimeskip
or
3. he just didn´t liked his eyes

It would appear that Baam wasn't the one who killed Rapdevil, as Baam wanted to see "the Devil" and Rapdevil wasn't transformed or anything. Unless, if he's using it, it untransforms if he's killed. However, it actually looks like he was snuck up on or betrayed by someone whom he had thought was a friend.

I just hope rapdevil isn't dead & if he is, I hope Baam didn't do it. Now, I really dislike Baam. I'm not excited by reading a story about a badass asshole rampaging through everything without emotions. I hope the ranker will have the upperhand on Baam & I want to see some kindness from Baam. In fact, I would be glad with any other emotion than disdain or anger.

My insterest for this manwha is fading as fast as it grew. I'm disappointed.

but then there has to be someone who's actually stronger than what he was showing, who could it be? I don't think it was Teddy and the rest seemed to be busy with other things while Rapdevil was beat. Maybe it's someone we haven't seen yet?

From the spoiler summary it seems pretty clear cut that Rapdevil's dead though I don't think there is much chance it was Baam that did it. For one thing if it was Baam that killed him he wouldn't be sitting in the same place we last saw him. From what we've seen of Baam's fighting style that room would have gotten wrecked. Seemly likely he got backstabbed by one of his allies or somebody with shape-shifting powers judging by how his body looked (it looked like he never saw it coming).

I get what your saying about this Baam's new persona Viole though.

When a hero character reintroduced as an anti-hero, even if only briefly, it's such an unpleasant read; but the upside is the part where the character "rediscovers himself" is usually an amazingly good read. The real question is "How long do we have to wait for it?". These things can be a one or two arc affairs or much MUCH longer; and I don't really think a series can be good with a main character that doesn't resonate emotionally. It can use characters like Arkrapter to patch the issue but to be something I really love that issue needs to be resolved, or at the very least properly explained, so I can reconnect with Baam (or Viole or whatever) as a character.

As it currently is, Tower of God reminds me of "The Magician"; in that I feel little connection to the main character, Baam's new persona Viole. Hopefully this is all building toward a moment were we can all properly connect to him and Siu isn't just trying to rebrand Baam into Sasuke 2.0 because that would be.....unfortunate.

Yeah, I know.

There's a possibility that we might get a flashback with Hatsu, if anything really did ever happen, but SIU told us that Part 2 wouldn't really ever focus on the original group, so that's doubtful as well.

im guessing the one who killed him is the prince's lackey or one of the most innocent looking characters ex; the glasses girl .she's a light bearer after all ,i wont be surprised if she deviced a cunning plot
