If I had to describe Fairy Tail with one word, it would be refreshing.
This is the reason why Fairy Tail is my favorite Shonen manga right now. The little details, the characters interacting, and most of all the way Mashima makes you care for(or hate) most of his characters. When the guilds participating in the Grand Magic Games were shown, I wouldn't have thought I would be as interested in these characters as I am right now. The same goes for Hades and Grimoire Heart.

Yeah, I can definitely understand where the that fondness comes from.

It's pretty high on my list of favorite series too. I have a hard time with battle tournament stuff; which is not to say there is anything really wrong with any of that, it's just not my thing. During it's adventure arcs(like the Tower of Heaven arc)I probably like Fairy Tail almost as much as Beelzebub.

Natsu is a much better character when he does stuff like this. We all know it's not smart and extremely rash, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't want to see Sabertooth get its ass kicked for treating Yukino like that. And charging in and messing shit up is the best way to do it. It 'kinda alot like what Phantom Lord did though.... Never expected Natsu would challenge Genma to a fight though, this should be really interesting.

Have to mention though, Lucy if I've learned anything from this manga it's that owners of Stellar Spirits can be switched very, very easy lol.

Quite enjoyed this chapter and seeing Yukino's character developped that way and Natsu coming to her rescue. I'm quite glad that Lucy turned down the 2 other gold keys cos I was getting the feeling she'd gained some of them a bit too easily.

I think Genma vs Natsu will be interrupted or something as the tournament is still going on, otherwise I think Natsu would lose.

Goodness Gracious, this chapter (for me atleast) was epic. Just what I needed after a string of losses for Fairy Tail with Sabertooth conitinually being pompous butt heads.
And it was a little weird when Yukino did not offer the thirteenth key, though I am a little glad that Lucy did not accept any of them, I am looking forward to this new plot twist "The 12 keys have been gathered. The gateway that changes the world will open." Probably Lucy and Levy will start looking it up on what the heck it is. But I'm really surprised that Yukino and Lucy are supposedly the only stellar spirit mages left; has this Zentopia accident have something to do with the shortage of Stellar Spirit and the weird dark guy Arcadios?
On another note, Yukino calls the fifth Sabertooth member, Minerva, which is the Roman name for the Greek goddess Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom. So would this mean that Minerva is a mage of high intelligence and vicously strong? Maybe she won't be annoying but hopefully a likable character?
And I hope that Grey will somehow at some point show a little lovin' for Juvia before lyon does (I was soooo glad he blushed at the though of it ). I litteraly said "kya!"
And I am very very VERY glad that Natsu opened a can of whoop-a** on Sabertooth. Those faces on the Sabertooth members (especially those two DS)- priceless. And about Genma and Natsu's fight, I'm a little worried that Genma also uses Titan magic like Makarov. I'll still be rooting for Natsu, but I would prefer the match to be between Genma and Makarov (it would be amazing to see Makarov show who's boss even for his height).
And who will probably throw the first punch? Natsu- A nice fiery punch to Genma's face. (At least thats what I wanna see.)

And yes. This was refreshing.

Natsu is such a badass! It's how much he cares for people and takes things in to his own hands that makes me love his character! Also the fact he managed to take out so many members of the Sabertooth Guild and then challenge the Master by himself makes me feel like Sabertooth would NEVER have become top guild if Natsu and the gang weren't time warped.

Imagine if the likes of Erza, Gray Lucy, Gajeel, Laxus and Makarov were there. I mean come on Sting and Rogue looked petrified just looking at Natsu's raw strength, not even beggining to use some of his best moves. Fairy Tail is the power of a true guild!

Its hard to predict next chapter...
a) Minerva will fight Natsu
b) I doubt that Gemma is weaker than Guildartz, so Natsu will go down
c) Natsu somehow manages to use his second magic container or maybe taps into Godslayer flames and owns Gemma big time

If Gemma losses, there's always someone second in command to take his place. So i think its actually possible plot twist.

you guys forget natsu is way stronger then before tanks to utear. he will probably be able to use LFM.

I think this move shows some character growth for Natsu. Not in what he's doing(pretty normal for him), but in who he's doing it for. Natsu's anger in the past has only been directed against people who hurt other members of Fairy Tail(or close allies), which Yukino clearly is not. He's becoming more of a heroic character, willing to fight on the behalf of strangers, rather than just his fellow guild members. Also, I have to say his entrance into ST headquarters was freakin' awesome!

Awesome chapter! Natsu breaking in? I never expected that! Looks like Zeref is going to be resurrected, woopie. Here's my prediction for next chapter:

Gemma and Natsu will start fighting.
Laxus and Gajeel see the mess Natsu is in and joins.
Huge brawl.
Makarov comes and stops them.

Awesome chapter! Natsu charging in was absolutely typical Natsu, and you've gotta love it despite the complete idiocy of the move. I really didn't see this coming from the last chapter. Hopefully we'll get to see a bit of Gemma in action, although I don't see a full-fledged battle between the two as a likely event. Yukino seems to be on the way to some tough times. I really don't see Lucy not having the final two zodiacs, so Yukino may be facing a much shortened lifespan. Can't wait for the next chapter.

chapter was epic, but at the same time kinda expected from the tittle being how the tittle said ten keys and two keys not twelve keys i guess yukina willl repay natsu for what he is about to do for her in saving lucy, mybe the world changes for because of the keys but the way the door was opened it could be that if the stellar mages open the door by forced it does not work, love the expression on the other dragon slayer and their cats along with the other two members that mimic the cats reaction

I usually don't have much to say about Fairy Tail, especially during a battle tournament arc, but this week I feel the need to mention that THIS is exactly what I love about the series.

Many series will dance around something for entire arcs; where the antagonist does bad stuff until it builds up to the point were the protagonist is forced to confront it. Fairy Tail takes a different approach. At the first sign of wrong doing...IT'S ON! It takes something that another series would make complicated and simplifies it.

Natsu heard about an injustice that pissed him off; and that's all the reason he needed to pick a fight with the biggest baddest guy around.

So simple. So charming. And exactly the reason I look forward to reading Fairy Tail.

Ya that's really the only reason I still read it to be honest ... and well the various racy panels help keep my attention too because I'm a super perv.

Bayond that Mashima sort of just gives people power ups without really showing any training and that much bugs me. Beyond that though I like the story and it has great potential when it comes down to it.

On other notes I always knew that combining all 12 keys would lead to something big. It seems like you can open holes in dimensions and summon something huge. IE the spirit king I think in Lucy's case but it can be twisted to summon stuff like Zeref it seems. I think Lucy will still end up with all 12 keys some how and possibly the 13th. If Mashima is going to kill of a character its going to be this new spirit mage.

Well I was wrong about Yukino wanting to challenge Lucy for the keys lol. It was nic that Yukino is so polite, adding all the sama after everyone's name.

I also like that Lucy said she couldn't take the keys and the fanservice is topnotch as always. It was the 2nd part of the chapter that was amazing. Natsu has grown up a lot like Happy had said, him wanting to peek at the girls during training was another sign actually lol.

I'm really looking forward to the fight if Genma does attack Natsu or someone else will interfere from either side.
