I'm having a hard time understanding the word, 引く　in this context.

A couple is having a conversation. The girl is about to explain something embarrassing to the guy, but before she does she says this to him:

引かないで．．．もらえますか？

引かれたら死んでしまいますから．．．　や．．．約束してください．．．

I feel it's something like the girl asking the guy not to shun her, but I'm not sure if shun would be the right word to use here.

Judging from the context you gave me, I got the impression of "to draw away; to back off; to turn silent" or something like that though. The same 引き and in ドン引き. Like how you say something weird or strange, then your listener just went silent or lost of words or something like that... .-.

Ju-da-su gave you an explanation of 引く. It's up to you how you approach the word. If you go along with a literal translation, translate something like what Ju-da-su said. 引く is often used in Japanese, but if you think the literal translation does not offer a natural conversational phrase in English, " (引かないで．．．もらえますか？) Please don't think I am too weird/strange/crazy." might work, but its reverse translation would not get you to the original JP phrase.
