Saturday was a uni grad ball, so I worked til 2am and since I knew a few people that attended, they all found me and I gave 'em plenty of drinks or charged them for single shots when I'd pour doubles .

Never thought I'd get emotional at a horsey film but it was really good, just unreal how one horse could survive through all that lol. Also I wished Cumberbatch and Hiddleston had bigger roles and shame about the little french girl too. It felt a bit long in the beginning but once the war began, the pace picked up. Funny scene between the english private and the german soldier where they save Joey.

Yeah, you didn't expect all the emotion, right? I was pessimistic about the movie at first, but after I watched it, all my feelings...

Yep, it's really a shame Ben and Tom didn't get more scenes.

LOL~ That's my favorite scene, especially when the German soldier asks for one more cutter, and his friends throw a lot of them.

    Nice

Driving lessons papers? Is that like a pamphlet about the rules and what not?

I was expecting it to be touching(as I'd heard about the film before) but not as emotional as it ended up to be; even the ways Joey goes out of his way to help the big black horse after they captured

Yeah I forgot to mention the cutters scene, that was hilarious. It was nice to throw in some light scenes in between a heavy film like that.

Yeah after every lesson, my instructor gives me some papers to read to prepare me for the next lesson, it's normally about the manoeuvres we'll be covering and topics, i.e the one for the next week is on roundabouts. Actually my lesson today went a LOT better than the first, if it carries on I won't need more than the 10 I booked.

Do you have your driver's license already?

I am used to Spielberg's more epic movies so I didn't expect it to be emotional too...

Yeah, it's a good scene. A German soldier and an English soldier are bonding in the middle of the battlefield because they are trying to help a horse together. It sounds absurd, but it's nice. Really nice. It has a deep meaning, that scene.

LOL No, it was in London; we didn't have one here in Birmingham but people did gather around the pubs and such to watch it together. Most people outside London watched it with their families. I know a few that did travel though and spent ridiculous hours there. I don't think I could do that tbh, plus it was raining so

Ahhhhh my childhood Rewatched the first one a few months for memory's sake; and now I need to watch the other 2. I've got the last one too but never seen it. Heard nothing but negative feedback about it.

Legendary, huh? I was considering becoming an archeologist because of him, but I think I'll just stick to the literature side. Still, the movies deepened my love for history. I kept watching it again and again. I lost count how many times I re-watched the movies. But the last movie, yeah, not that good. It cannot compete with the old ones. I only watched it once and "bye-bye".
