Wait, I thought you were English, or is it that you're Belgian, but moved to England?

I don't have problems with public speaking, honestly.

Hmmm think it was explaining results of some group research we had done, but everyone in the group had to explain different parts of the findings. How I dreaded my turn...

Yep, I'm British and they(4 of them) are Belgians, they never lived in England, nor vice versa. It's just we all left home at different times and the first 4 went to Belgium and became citizens after a while, same with the british group.

Ah, I see. That sort of makes sense. Where did you grow up, if I may ask?

I do predict that Belgium, assuming that they make it to Rio '14, will make it farther than England, however. Thoughts?

I grew up in DR Congo, til about '99 then came to London. The first group all left early 90s.

I fear the same too, they current squad includes a lot of players who are regulars in the top teams at the top leagues in the world and they also had some pretty good results in their friendlies as they failed to qualify for the Euros. Whereas England on the other hand, have a good number of proven players who won't be around for Rio '14 and the rest of the squad is full of maybes and tryout players. I really worry about them, there don't seem to be a high enough number of new talent coming through.

Yeah now more than before, except I'm kinda "to myself" a bit so I don't reach out as much as the others.

Ah, that makes sense now. I can also understand now why you don't see that part of your family.

That's what I'm thinking. Even more than just having a lot of regulars in top teams, the players are young, so they're also going to be better by Rio '14. For England, Lampard, Gerrard, Terry, and possibly Ashley Cole will all either be less fit or retired by then.
