Pineapple does not have a strong odor and Pineapple's taste is more friendly to your tongue. Durian has a very strong taste, and unpleasant to most of the Western people.. Hell, even some people here don't like Durian either.

No, I wasn't comparing since I have no idea

Yeah, that's how I've heard it described. I've burned my tongue eating Pineapple before though....don't chew on the core.

I don't think so. You wouldn't say that if you had it. Maybe north americans can't do it well so.

No worries. I'm mulling over some series, but I don't know when/if I'll start them. Of those that you mentioned, I've watched Eureka 7. Saw it ages and ages ago, before I ever even started reading manga. It was a really nice series.

Just beginning to sound like a place you want to visit? Lol.

I haven't really seen many celebrities here, honestly. I did see Juwan Howard at a bar downtown once and I saw Michael Moore (the director) at Second City another time (he was just there watching the show). Nobody really exciting.

Oh! I did almost run into Corey Feldman once when I was walking through the Excalibur casino in Vegas. Totally didn't even notice until I got past him. He was much shorter than I'd expected. IMDB says he's 5'9", but there's no way he was any taller than me.... and I'm about 5'6". xD

You've only missed one episode so far, so don't worry too much! It was ok... not as awesome as I was hoping, but there were some really funny lines. But to be fair, I had some pretty high expectations, so take that with a grain of salt.

Excellent. By the way, I got a random wild hair yesterday and decided to finish an anime that I started ages ago: Madoka. Have you seen it? I had watched 4 episodes ages ago when it was airing and then just kind of stopped, even though I liked (but not loved) it. Man, I should have kept watching! The later episodes are pretty amazing.

No I've not seen it but I have heard of it(I think from Koen iirc) and so know its a good watch but how highly would you recommend it? and is it a completed series? so I could just get it and watch at my own pace.

Only 12 episodes and I would very highly recommend it. I think I'm still fangirling over episode 10! But it's definitely not Koen's style, so I don't think it was him that you heard about it from. I remember talking about it with riki way back when I was first watching it, so it may have been her? Also, don't let the cutesy look of the girls fool you... the themes in it are pretty dark.

The Jane and Penny storyline was ok, I guess. Rob Corddry appearing at the end was a surprise. I wonder if he's joining the show permanently.

Yeah I hope the Dave/Alex storyline does improve, since I imagine it'll be a whole season thing but I wonder when will Penny's feelings for Dave come into play?.... Rob Corddry is funny as shit, even just the cameo appearance was funny, since Jane will be working for him I guess we'll see him around in a few episodes here and there.

Whats your plans for this weekend Tiff?

I definitely think Penny's feelings will come into play. Why bother reminding us about them in the first episode if they weren't going to? I don't know what they're going to do exactly, but something's going to happen there for sure.

Love Rob Corddry, too! I hope he's going to at least be a recurring character.

Hmm.... I'm not sure yet. I was supposed to go out of town for something I planned a while back, but I decided I should stay here and try to rest instead. I'll probably watch a bit of football (the American variety, of course ;p) and maybe try to meet up with friends or something tomorrow night and/or maybe brunch on Sunday. Otherwise, I'm just planning to take it easy. What about you?
