Who said that the one entering to the Hunterpedia were destined to die horribly? LOL, you're right :O
I've no complaints. Not even the music placement. I actually liked it (Not loved it but meh)
Let's start the gif-a-torium!
Some are repeated and I blame Netero for it :O
This episode... well, I got almost nothing to add. On the music thing, I didn't hear the OST as I think it would kinda diminish my enjoyment to listen to a game's (and likewise, an anime's) music before I hear it in the actual thing so I have no idea if any other music would've fit better or whatever, but I think the music was entirely spot-on.
The entire episode gave me chills. Everything was pretty much perfect: Ubo's red, aggressive aura, Kurapika's voluminous, unstable aura. The colors of the different chain powers, the violence. The moment before Ubo's BBI connected with Kurapika's arm and he was using In, there was no sound coming from him, a really nice touch. Kurapika's movements in the fight, Kurapika's characterization (from everything, to voice, to eyes, to mannerisms), Kurapika and Ubo's torture scene... damn, I really like this fight, and seeing it perfectly animated in today's episode was like a dream come true. EVERY DAMN DETAIL WAS PERFECT! From little things like the small flashback showing when Kurapika attached the Chain Jail, to great stuff like the moment of Ubo's death... It matched and went beyond even my wildest expectations.
Sorry... (Gon's even my favorite character and everything!) but this fight (and, in my opinion, episode) was the best so far, surpassing Gon VS Hisoka. Though it's kinda hard to compare them both, as I love them for different reasons. Pacing was pretty much perfect. The omission of the Gon and Killua stuff didn't bother me in the slightest, and I hope they include it in the next episode. Will it be bad if they don't? Kinda, but it greatly depends on how next episode will be handled.
Regardless of whether or not the missing stuff is included next episode, this gets a solid 10/10. A very solid one.
Ok...what was your favorite moment in this fight?
Mine was when Kurapika heals his arm. I like it even better than the manga. Manga it's just like "now it's broken. now it's not." and that's about it.
But here it's done all dramatically and it makes Kurapika REALLY seem like an ass. Plus I love the pale green coloring for the nen.
Really nen in general is done incredibly well in this series.
I can see why some would think next week will be dull...
But I think it's just a different type of interesting. It's gonna be like "Trick Tower" cool.
^My favorite moment was when Kurapika kicked Uvo.
My favorite would be when Uvo died. It's just done so dramatically.
And probably when Kurapika tortured Uvo too. You start to wonder if Kurapika isn't the bad guy here with how Uvo tries to keep silent about his comrades, haha.
I don't think I have a favorite moment in the actual fight... but if I HAD to day, basically anything Nen involved was a joy to watch for me. And I mean ALL of it. Like Kurapika's enhanced punch.
If you mean the whole episode, then I guess it'd be the death and torture in general. But like I said, I got no real favorite moments... the whole episode was a favorite moment to me. I'm a little sad that a simple Hisoka shot is able to steal an entire scene, though!
Uvo's death reminded me a lot of Death Note, especially Kurapika's face.
Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that
Hands down my favorite part was the scene when Uvo died. Just the way it was handled (animation and music-wise) was brilliant, and is arguably one of my favorite moments of this adaptation. The colors they chose at that moment did a great job with the contrast of the blood and Kurapika's scarlet eyes. That scene did a wonderful job portraying Kurapika's ruthless, yet calm demeanor as he mercilessly killed him.
Of course, the moments leading up to it, with Uvo's unwillingness to comply to Kurapika's request, and his utterance of "...die, fool.", was done perfectly. I couldn't ask for anything more from this fight, really.
Loved it as well and definitely one of the Top 10 moments so far.
And BTW, this adaptation embraced my formula of Nen. I'm glad
Yeah, Uvo's death was definitely the best moment of the episode imo.
Btw, I remembered who did Uvo in Huncyclopedia look like...
(Didn't find a better pic lol)
A strange comparison huh...?
This was a great fight it really was but I do think that
That was amazing. The brutality, the animation and the music were just perfect. Especially when it zooms in on Kurapika's eyes as he starts beating the shit out of Uvogin and Man With the Reversed Cross plays.....gave me chills. I love Hunter X Hunter's music, especially the Phantom Troupe's themes and the Zoldyck Family theme. And Hisoka at the end. I love the way they highlight Hisoka eying Chrollo. Man I really need Togashi to come back and start making Hunter X Hunter chapters...he's too brilliant for his own good.
What I'm REALLY looking forward to though is
