not saying every senju can/would be sages...but....
hashirama and tobirama showed that they have plenty ability/chakra/longevity to be(come) sages...

There is no coincidence, being a Sage has nothing to do with being a Senju. Not ever has it been implied that any Senju members can use Natural Enegery, nor have any of them been associated with the summons required to introduce one to the idea of becoming a Sage.

This is like people freaking out that every person in the manga with Red hair must be an Uzumaki...

this is my whole point...why would the name of one of the strongest clans be a shortened version of one of the strongest arts.
kishi made up some pretty good names...why go with a clan that will be talked about alot(1 of the 2 megapowers) and give them a similar name referencing the SoSP...if it has nothing to do with SM.
i'm willing to bet that hashirama may have been a sage...but not necesssarily from the toad lineage...this maybe our slug sage

He did the same crap with the senju, so I wouldn't hold your breath. Yeah Naruto has blond hair but we know who his dad is. We've known that way before they were even officially related. Tsunade has been the granddaughter of the first way before her grandmother was Introduced. Every person besides those long established characters that has been said to be of relation to the Uzumaki has had red hair. Granted, This doesn't mean that every long established character with red hair has to be related to the to the Clan. However it's still a basis, a weak one but a basis nonetheless.

That's still not much of anything. If you wanted to say that the Senju had strong bodies, and Sage Mode activates the bodies of those who learn it, that would be something at the very least. But even that is a very loose connection given how vague the whole "strong body" thing is in the first place. However, to imply that they are related simply because the names are similar is pretty baseless.

The Senju clan are named because they were a clan of thousands of techniques, not because they practiced Senjutsu which Sage Arts.

Sen(sage) + jutsu(art) = Senjutsu (Sage Arts).

The Senju in Senjutsu doesn't stand for anything, it's simply the Sen. Therefore they words have entirely different meanings, and it's by mere coincidence that the English translations look so similar.

Poor assumption due to ignorance of the Japanese language.

Senjutsu = 仙術 = Sage Techniques = 仙 (sen) + 術 (jutsu)

Senju Ichizoku = 千手一族 = Thousand Hands Clan = 千 (sen) + 手 (ju) + 一族 (ichizoku)

In the series, it's explained that the clan's name is shortened from "the clan holding a thousand skills" because they were experts at ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu.

these are different words. just because they sound similar in english, it doesn't mean they're linked.

however, there's never been any implication that senjutsu was best used by the senju. where did this even come from? jiraiya's excellent at using it. the frogs have been around and teaching others this technique for generations. all they've pointed out was that focus was the main thing required. minato has always been a sharp/brilliant ninja, and i'd say the same of people like sasuke or kakashi. they'd probably do great with senjutsu.

also 'sage' is just a generic term for someone who has attained a significantly legendary level of training/achievements.

it's much like the word 'guru' or 'professor' or 'doctor'

'sage of six paths' is not necessarily related to 'frog sage techniques'...

sigh.. it's like insisting Dr. Leonard Hofstadter heals a patient just because he's a doctor. he's not a medical doctor. similarly, there's no suggestion that the frog sage is in any way linked to the six paths sage just because they share the word 'sage', beyond what chakra usage rikudou sennin founded and taught to the world.

your oversimplified view is... weird. i'm trying to find the erroneous foundations you built all these weird theories on. help me out a bit here everyone.

u do realise the english translations are not canon? i don't htink kishi planned for coincidences in English names. in kanji/hanzi, those words are distinct.

Haha yeah I had this thought, but then look if senju clann all were sennins then they are too overpowered plus Sages it is kinda rare thing, i think for Toads they had only 2 sages Jiraya and Naruto. But at the same time there is some logic - to become a Sage you need to have a lot of chakra reserves - which implies to Second son of Rikuddou. And Senjus usually have good chakra rserves right? i think it is kinda opposed technique to forbidden Sharingan and Rinnegan techniques At the end of the day it is all about balance - balance of Bijuus, balance of Uchiha and Senju and so on.If there are not so many Uchihas left - that means they will be incredibly strong, like we can see on Sasukes and Itachi and Madara and Tobi example

Suzaku explained it perfectly, yet by an odd coincidence Senju would be perfect to master Sage Mode and senjutsu, due to their body, life energy and huge chakra pools.
I just hope Kishi doesn't give something like that to Hashirama, I love Sage Mode because is the only relevant ability that isn't tied to freakin' Rikudou Sennin

Explain. Im hopefully interpreting this wrong, but Naruto is amongst the most powerful in the series and can kick the ass of most of the ninja world. Less than average jounins? (Im hopefully interpreting this wrong)
