I don't believe there would be a reason for Madara to have Susanoo suit up if the Gokage didn't bounce back. However, the question of how they accomplish this still remains. I guess we have to wait for the chapter.

Also, I know it's Shounen law that a Major villan must always look damn near unbeatable before they are defeated but this is some ridiculous shit man.

Madara was able to trap Raikage in a genjutsu as he was first able to grab him. Raikage's imunity probably was from his speed. He would move out of the way and what not before real eye contact can be made, he was just to fast.

If you take into account that he was staring Sasuke down while remaining still long enough, I'd say that's not the case. Kishimoto will probably attribute it to Madara's genjutsu being stronger than Sasuke's, or the fact that Ei had to be caught first. I'd say the former rather than the later.

Please let them stop Madara for now, but bring him back in some time - that's some crazy guy, just seeing those spoiler pics make me wonder how damn strong hashirama must have been. I think we have our final villain, there's no way anyone else could overpower Madara in this condition. He's evil, arrogant und lacks humanity, nearly perfect - and is doomed to failure. We know that Madara's Sharingan is in a whole different league than the rest, and that Sasuke's speciality never was genjutsu to begin with.

Well of course Sasuke isn't a noob, but he is a kage level ninja, just like Raikage is.
If his speciality was genjutsu, I believe that he could do more than try to stare down Raikage just for A to say to his face that he is worth shit.

Madara on the other hand is way superior in everything to almost everyone else, and now he has Hashirama's powers to boost his own power.

It was explained why it didn't work, If you want to believe that Sasuke "didn't want to waste chakra" then go ahead. What could possible give him any indication that genjutsu wouldn't work on Ei before he tried it? It was explained by Shi so how would Sasuke have an inkling? I know he is smart, but smart doesn't equate to psychic. There would be nothing to tip him off telling him it might not work. Darui was dealing with Suigetsu, and Sasuke basically one shotted Shi, a genjutsu user. Also I'm confused, what do you mean by "vital moment?" If you are referring to his past fights like with Deidara, then yes I agree. However, him standing in place with his sharingan trained on Ei's own eyes wasn't just for giggles, and I don't see how it was vital. The fact that Sasuke has caught all those people in genjutsu shows that his skills in the art are nothing to scoff at. and I don't know why you think Raikage was immune to genjutsu , even Itachi could trap in a genjutsu , if you are talking about chakra , then I should add QB has more chakra compare Raikage ... If you are talking about Raikage's word and C's words I should remind it to you that , first sentence of Raikage was it : "brat , I'll teach you to fear my anger " but after the fight , Raikage loosed his arm !!!

vital moments of his fights :
Sasuke and Oro >>> he only use his genjutsu in the last and vital moment ( before Oro take his body )
Sasuke and Deidara >>> he used it before final explosion
Sasuke and Bee >> he only used it after Bee used bijju cloak !!! >> are you can say why he didn't used his genjutsu in beginning of fight !?
Sasuke and Danzo >> he used it in last moment of fight .....

anyway . are you can explain it why Madara didn't used his genjutus in first place and finishing Kage ( Raikage or others kage ) by his genjutus !? are all of kage immune to genjutus !?

so basically we can find out that both Madara and Sasuke don't begin their fight with genjutsu ( unlike Itachi and probably shisui ) ....

and don't forget Sasuke isn't Naruto who only repeat his previous fight with more clone an rasengan , he has more technique and he can use more technique in his fight !?
