Yes, it only took me 3-5 posts to clearly express what I was thinking.
I am getting better at this me thinks.
Anyway, why no one ever thought of indicating the average in the chapter poll?
What do you mean? There is an average in the poll.Quote:
No, i mean the TOTAL average.
I understand. Like an overall average for the chapter, given the total number of people who have votedQuote:
It's actually a pretty good idea.

Expected value is about 5.4 (which I've shown in my graph) and arithmetic mean is about 5.14 but the latter shouldn't be used for this (weighted mean is needed hence expected value is more accurate).
I know i know, it's not that i don't know how to calculate it, all i'm saying is that it would be nice to have the total average expressed clearly in the poll.
Not that it would change the world, i just think that it would be cool to implement it,just saying.
Roflmao, I can't argue with that - their is always something to talk about....we just have to get off our butts and talk about it XD; down-time has more to do with people moving onto other things and not so much their being lack of material...plus, their are other threads and things we can do in the meantime.Originally Posted by Gooral

At any rate...what's been going on around here? Been on a MH vacation for over a week now.
Skim the thread and see for yourself :P. And I recommend that you would check Claymore Playground section and participate in some of the discussions/games.
expected value is a constant, isn't it?
And actually it's no more of a constant than arithmetic average.

I misunderstood you then, I thought you were suggesting displaying expected value instead of average rating.

Expected value also changes with different variables.
