How will this be handled? Is it only written by the original mangaka, or is a short series, or serialized bi-weekly?

I'm pretty sure the original mangaka is just writing it and then one of her old assistants is doing the artwork, that's how the preview chapter of it was,

Which series currently running in Sunday are popular/good and worth picking up? I am following Magi and Silver Spoon...and Conan is too huge to catch up to.
I've been mostly reading Jump titles recently...so though I'd go for a little change

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan) - Part 1

Firstly I would recommend you Kami nomi. It's a great original kind of rom-com manga. Denpa Kyoushi is somewhat similar to it so if you would like one of these than surely second one will also be in your taste. If you're searching for battle manga than go with two best from Sunday and that are Kenichi and Zettai Karen Children. You can also try Area D with great art of author of Defense Devil and Arata form the well know Yuu Watase. There's also Mushibugyo, action scenes are great but scans stopped at 16 chapter. Anagle Mole is also a great manga but it stopped at 33 chapter and now is on hiatus so maybe it's better to wait for it to resume. For a sport ongoing manga you can only read Buyuden (Be Blues isn't scanlated unfortunately...) it's slow at the beginning but later on it gets really good. Two good comedy mangas Kunisaki Izumo no Jijou, this is rather for girls.. but I laughed a lot while reading it so if you don't mind it being gay than read it and Hayate no Gotoku a funny comedy manga, in the beginning you could say it's a Gintama with reversed gender cast it was hilarious now it focus more on the moe aspect (unfortunately).
My 3 favourites mangas from Sunday currently serialised are Kami nomi, Magi and Silver Spoon, but Kenichi and Buyuden are close to them.

    Thanks
Denpa Kyoushi seems fairly popular...I think I'll start with that

    I'll vouch for Kaminomi.
Hayate was great up to chapter 300 imo. After that, the art drastically changed, and it's not as good as it used to be. But it's still worth a try. The peak of the series would be the long Golden Week arc which you'll definitely enjoy.
I only read Buyuden because I enjoyed Major, and I've been practicing boxing as a hobby since 5th grade, however, it is Mitsuda's work afterall so it would have a very slow start.
