So wait, Yugami and Birdmen will run in Shounen Sunday but monthly? That's intriguing, though Young jump has two series like that too, sorta like what k-dom was saying. I guess that means for a while at least nothing will be ending in WSS.

Mine too... I'm looking at raws and actually can't believe it's ending, maybe it's not a real end something like end of part 1? Probably no but I really wanted to at least know what was going on there.

What happened to Arata Kangatari? Does anyone know why it has been absent for five consecutive issues?

Female ice hockey club? Gotta say that's original at least. And there's even a stalker involved. In before someone predicts the stalker becomes their coach who leads them to victory.

Now back to crying over Anagle's basement rating!

And dammit, Koukushi Musou!! Got another 22 page chapter. I'm beginning to think this thing might become the next Magi, what with the extra pages all of the time and getting two lead color pages in less than 15 chapters.

I was little wrong on the title for this one. The title is Hyoukyuuhime Tokiwagi Kantoku no Kajou na Aijou.

Re: Weekly Shounen Sunday (Shogakukan) - Part 1

After reading chapter 40 of Anagle, I'm back to thinking it'll end soon....though it's hard to tell since Fukuchi's slowed down the pace a lot and there are lots of unanswered questions (and a missing character.) I just hope it manages to at least outdo Ueki +'s 46 chapters. All it has to do is pull off at least seven more! Then if it ends I'll send it off...in tears, but I'll let it go.

Though what really surprised me is Koukushi Musou!! This week.....I wasn't expecting that. Though I think it's a good move. It proves the characters are playing for keeps and that the series could go for a little while even with it's somewhat limited premise. I guess I'll need to translate quicker so people know what I mean.

Seems like Alice in Borderland by Haro Aso is going to move to Weekly Sunday....but remain monthly. It'll have the same schedule Birdmen and Yuugami has. I wonder what WSS is trying to pull here?

That's still going? I remember reading a few chapters a long time ago, but it seemed like another Kami-sama no Iutoori-type series. Is it going to be a rotating schedule, with one of the monthlies appearing each week? i can't see them putting all three in the same issue since that would just make one issue a month freaking huge, but if they do one a week then they'd probably have to get a fourth monthly to even it out or something. I do kinda wish Birdmen was still weekly though, since I want to see how it turns out before I end up impulse buying the volume.

Thanks Heiji. I don't read it and the advert wasn't clear. (or well I guess I could have done more than skim over it too.) Still seems like Sunday is really embracing this once a month thing.

Yeah, and apparently it's quite popular too. Even Fukumoto (the author of Kaiji) gave it a thumbs up. I guess having one series per week in a four week month makes sense though. I wonder if a new series will start to take up that fourth week then? We've got Yuugami, Birdmen, and now the Borderland spinoff, so now what?
