Many of those may not be an issue considering Kei has the suit and it couldn't have taken them very long at all to make it back to earth. Seconds at the most.


@Laif: We don't know. Most likely he's still alive, but... he's surrounded by a lake or something. His best bet may be to make a run and jump for the tower. Hide til the ships go away... thing is, the giants are supposed to have the technology to track anybody instantly once they've had a good look at him. The giants really have all the advantages here.

@Showatt: I agree it's pretty lazy. We know Nishi has several means of escape - or ought to - and Oku has downright ignored those options.

it's hard to believe nishi will die but it seems that everything about nishi has been shown,
he once dreamed for the mecha and everything is destroyed when he's about to succeed, it looks very like the end of nishi and he's ok to die

i cant think of any escape route except jump off with his upgraded legs and find kei's bike, but it requires very strong plot armor like tae to achieve that.
Also, he said he knows how to revive people and if he didn't lie, then there's an interesting reason for him to stay alive.

I don't see that happening, he only has a basic suit. Even an inexperienced gantzer could kill him at this point.

I don't know man, you still need to breathe, even with a suit like that. Still wouldn't really cover how they dealt with temperature changes but hey! it's already breaking suspension of disbelief anyway if we have to rationalise the whole damn thing.

She couldn't breathe.. so they had to have made it back extremely quickly.

@elitebeatagents: Every other gantzer probably took the bikes with them. Would be a waste of time searching mechs when they are likely to be bombarded. Plus, he would have to swim to one which sounds tough.
@lolnameless: I believe he was implying that the giants were responsible for blocking certain Gantz functions.. destroying the tower would free them up. Either that or he was totally bluffing. Nevertheless he is stranded without a way to transfer himself back out (which means no revives) and he forgot(?) to bring his stealth unit thing. Which would have been great considering it also comes with a radar showing you the location of all nearby enemies.

I honestly thought he was remote controlling the robot until a chapter or two later I saw he was actually in it? Why would he transport himself to the mothership with no escape plan? Was he seriously hoping the Zaibatsu would take him to the surface after how they forced the gantzers in the robots in the first place?

Just my thoughts: I think he was with the Zaibatsu to begin with; he teleported to the war-zone on the ship with a mech he assigned in (he was in it the entire time after he teleported). I think he hacked into the system because he was angry that he couldn't participate in the mech battle granting him power after the Katostrophe.
But a couple of pages in he saw that the tower with the Zaibatsu were in blew up, so Nishi thought he was all kk but after seeing that his (or someone elses) hack caused some shit to happen he knew he was screwed. But he must've been talking to someone in the last chapter like the mustache guy.

kei brought him(back)into this world...only right he's the one who takes him out of it...lol


now,tae in space is the biggest asspull so far...even if it was still our atmosphere.at like 25000ft...you lose conciousness and probably die...die bitch,and let kei rage.

where the hell is kato and co...takaeshi,HS or civilians like kishimoto and ayumu.why do we keep getting this romeo n juliet bullshit when oku has a chance to go all out.you have the players and the stage is set...

i'm guessing these giants were truely just for the sport/gambling...and that is why they hauled ass(bit off to much)or this was not part of the bargin.
in bargin i mean the germans and sebastian...we have to see what this is all about(the reporter,the fat psychic,etc).i believe this will be the last battle(s)...with the manufacturers/processors/ingenuity behind gantz and not the users of which(zaibatsu,illuminati,world powers and so on).

That type of consistency wouldn't suit Oku's style.

The asspull in this chapter was strong. Oku's writing is pretty bad in general, but still enjoyable. This was just absurdly bad.

The mechs haven't vanished. They are inoperable though because the Gantzers inside them would have most likely taken off in the bikes themselves the moment they were set free.

Whether these Gantzers show up or simply vanish, who knows? Surely they would not have been able to escape the ship though. Kei knew exactly where to go to make it outside... the others shouldn't have that luxury but who knows.

As far as I'm aware, after they were teleported randomly, he just ran to tae, and has been focused on finding her ever since.

Nope, Kei1 was focused on Tae this entire time. I don't think he even glanced at the screen when his team was fighting on the monitors.

I was re-reading the katastrophe arc and it really did have the potential to be the best arc ever, but it was just fucking ruined by overly using kei and tae.

It can still be great if he wants it to be,.

Just have the rest of the gantzers keep fighting, and have Kei2 deal with Blondie.

that owuld be bad ass.

Cause now we have a Kei that's fuled by the lose of his love.

And that was the Kei that was soloing the oni alien if I recall correctly.
