Shioon wasting punches like a fool...he never learns.
At least he figured that he wasn't hitting shit. And Cool Guy is being smart, trying to worn him out and not underestimate. The problem is that he's already underestimating Shioon, he doesn't know about his "unlimited" ki and despite figuring his pattern of punches, he doesn't know about his foot strikes(which we all think he learned in his last trainings)

So are we all kind of in agreement that Shioon won by luck the second time. This time Cool Guy isn't jumping into anything too fast. Shioon really needs to calm down and do something different. What was the purpose of all that training. For some reason he seems apprehensive to do anything new.

Page 4 Cool Guy says "But seeing how he can only do simple attacks with his fists."

I think the author and artist is setting us up by not really having a cliff hanger. Shioon is going to raise it another level we shall see.

The chapter was ok . So am i getting this right ? He's not using BOT right ? He's just throwing punches charged with Ki . Still that cheap bastard is so freaking annoying He just knows that he'll be beaten again if he fights Shion fair and square so he's using those cheap tricks . Me disappointed

I don't think cool guy's realizing that he's moving ever so slightly back each time shioon's punches are about to connect, making inner ki strike innefective since point of impact and timing are key for it to work as explained in part 1.

Cool guy just thinks shioon's getting tired hence why his hits didn't do anything to him, BUT SHION JUST realized that the reason his hits weren't doing shit was because like the gauntlet arm showed on that pannel(pg 15), cool guy's moving slightly backward involuntarily(maybe because of deep seeded fear of what shionn's hit can do to him from their first fight) whenever shion's punches are comming. This messes with the effectiveness of inner ki strike.

I say that cool guy doesn't know he's moving back involumtarily because instead of saying "yeah, even if you realized i've been moving backward slightly to nullify your ki attacks" which would prove that he knows how inner ki strike works, cool guy instead said "did he notice something? you only realized that you're ki attacks dont work anymore because you're already EXHAUSTED from using such reckless ki attacks..)

LOLs shioon..exhausted? thats not in his vocab after eating that pill from part 1 lol! The reason is i think fear that created a psychological respnse from cool guy, retreating ever so slightly to defend, thus nullifying shion's strikes.

the only way he can get up that fast after taking a direct hit at the back of the head from the talon of a master's kick is because he's using BOT, the point is his BOT unlike his master's is somewhat controlled. Wether it be volumtarily or involumtarily he's controlling it, thus its not FULL ON BOT like 9AD did in part 1. I think thats better because shioon's losing control in BOT i don't even know if he'd be protecting any one anymore....Maybe the loosing control part to access full BOT like 9AD is when he keeps mentioning things like "my head hurts anymore would.." and when he had to physically smack his head on the polls before picking up sera. those are perhaps small referrences to himself about to black out...which probably would make him lose control..and access the stronger much more bezerk version of BOT

a lot of you will hate me if i say this but Shioon is not using BOT he us just using the KI he obtained when he ate the Divine Dan + purified KI

if you read the first part Shioon has 2 persons to stop those burning KI (GMR enlarging his Meridians to let those massive KI to flow and not explode) (Shiho to absorb those excess KI that the meridians can't hold)

and after GMR destoryed/shatters his KI center the effects of the DAN retains on his body on stagnant state

and when the DOC used a dialysis machine to purify his blood/KI those Stagnant KI that Shioon got when GMR and Shiho help him to stabilize becomes pure (the doc said Shioon's ki is the most powerful on the murim on that state) thus again doubling the KI or more on Shioons body and again those burning feelings are back (because GMR,Old Granny help him to control the KI he can hold that much ki )

i really think that Shioon forgot those burning feelings because of the PILL effects on him those pills that Sera and the Doc give doesn't really compensate the effects of the Divine Dan's KI i think those pill give Shioon at least 5% to 10% ki and Shioon thinking those flowing ki is just normal + even old Granny's pool of KI is not enough to fill the gaps of Shioon's meridian.

but don't get me wrong i love to see Shioon on BOT but i think there is no 50% BOT ,tip of the iceberg BOT , incomplete state of BOT i think those effects we see is just how Shioon is .
-those pressure is from GMR's spirit even Elder Jeon is surprised even no KI is flowing
- even Smilling Blade is pissed of that
-Hyuk is even more afraid/excited to see that pressure
-Kang Sung said that Shioon is another dragon because of his spirit pressure

on this the next chapter Shioon will calm down a bit and also use a strategy and he will use either Hwan + seismic stomp but a kick version shattering Cool Guy's gauntlets (if he is really using BOT i think Shioon will just use Seismic Step to cut Cool guys arm )

the problem is that this arc/fight is inconsistent as heck. Shioon was told by the evil doctor dude that hes been powered up to beyond human limits even if its for a short time. Shioon is on the cusp of death, he recovers, he's tired one minute, healthy the next, now panting and barely able to stand.

Come on, make up your mind.

This looks like a significant chapter in terms of developing Shioon's fighting style. As he is right now, against any opponent regardless of what class they are in all he needs to do is get 1 hit in. That would be quite a boring story if each time Shioon faced an opponent the fight would be over as soon as he gets a clean hit in. While it was illustrated in part 1 before with Chunwoo, I think the author is again emphasizing that as powerful as Soul Crushing Strike is it has a fatal flaw, a weakness that can be exploited. Once Shioon realizes this, I would imagine it would bring more diversity to his attacks. The diversity would also make sense, otherwise without this flaw one could fairly bring up the question as to why Shioon needs any other punch, kick, attack when Soul Crushing Strike, SCS, perfectly gets the job done.
